But even using the 4000KM figure, it still required a minimum of 3 minutes to cover the distance. Thats an average velocity of merely 22kps and acceleration of 0.37km/(sec^2) assuming constant acceleration. What good Trek fan would ever accept those numbers for typical velocity and acceleration of a Fed starship.

Any intelligent debator would quickly point out that the ship was heavily damaged and therefore NOT a reliable figure. Its the same story for Luke's X-wing in the trench.
