It doesn't really matter. Wasn't that movie made uncannon. But I'm sill curious to wha it was suppose to be.

Canonicity of The Final Frontier

It is certain that Gene Roddenberry later said that he did not consider Star Trek V: The Final Frontier or parts of it anyway non-canon. But according to Paramount's own policy, if it appeared on the big screen, it's canon.
