Dante Leonhart: Homophobic Racist VS Video Maker

Post by Lord Poe »

Let's use this thread to discuss our friend Dante, shall we? Then he and his pals on his forum:

http://team-exalt.com/forums/viewthread.php?tid=260

won't have to piss, moan, and cry that they can't "afford" to come here. From the last thread where this little pussy was discussed, I took a look at all the back and forth from members here to his forum. Interesting to see that this Louisiana Tech student is little more than a racist homophobe. In addition to his first "Bridge Commander" movie defaming arabs, which, surprisingly, has been taken off Youtube and Google video, but can be seen here:

Episode 1: Holy Skirmish

on his forum, he enjoys using phrases like, "beat you like a runaway slave". Then there's his constant use of the word "faggot", referring to the SD.net posters that went there to debate him. General Schatten sig was replaced with this:
OH NO! MY SIG GOT PWND! I'M SUCH A FAGGOT! I REALLY SHOULD HAVE KEPT MY FAT MOUTH SHUT! NOW I HAVE TO CREATE A NEW ACCOUNT BECAUSE THIS ONE IS GETTING LOCKED!!!
and under his avatar, we see this:
Wayne Poe's gay lover
Dante has a real problem, doesn't he? I wonder how the administration and the general student body of Louisiana Tech would react to having an openly racist and homophobic student on their campus?

The whole mess with Dante started when he'd put in little backhanded comments on my videos on websites I advertized it on and Youtube. He began berating the sound quality (which isn't great) and the quality of the voice actors. I tried explaining to him several times the actors weren't pros, didn't have a whole lot of experience recording themselves, etc. but he still kept on, sprinking his comments with the vacuous "lol" every sentence. Funny though, that these were the same criticisms leveled at his videos:

+http://p207.ezboard.com/fdaykenanewworl ... =260.topic

That's when I basically told him to fuck off, and that his shit was boring as hell (See the above video. Or watch paint dry.)

Well, we have seen where this has led, with Dante claiming copyright on all things Star Trek, and Youtube apparently agreeing with him. Where we are NOW, is a different matter. Dante has not only put up my personal information on his website (exactly as knew he would abuse it), but even after the owner of the said website, one Ian Tannehill, also of Louisiana, invited General Schatten and others there, Dante now wants to sue Stardestroyer.net!

Yup, Dante wants to sue this message board for "cross-forum flaming"! The dumb fuck is also under the impression that *I* own Stardestroyer.net. One of the forum posters there is absolutely appalled that "my" wife is into sex toys, BTW.

So, come on and join the fun. Let's start reviewing Dante, his videos, and his racist, homophobic views!

While I lack the motivation (and stature) to participate in the upcoming entertainment, rest assured I'm going to immensely enjoy reading it.

Why would someone be "appalled" that someone else's wife is into sex toys? Oh yeah, I forgot: Christian sexual morality = the fear that someone, somewhere might be having a good time.

'Wow, that shut them up' Hmmm... couldn't be that you banned me for not conforming to your rediculous notion of what is and is NOT pronography. Can anyone here, with a straight face, tell me that my sig, with the 1337 part removed contains ANY pornographic material? No? And why is that? Because she's fully clothed! Oh wait, Fundie-ville would probably agree with the Muslim Theocrats that demand women wear a burka.

That has got to be the most absurdly hilarious thing I've seen in quite a while  . For all the silliness over at Youtube, I'd have thought claiming copyright for Star Trek would be a bit too thick to fly even there. I guess not.

As for the forums he and his buddies frequent... Well, we'll not talk about that. What a cesspool.
"Death before dishonour" they say, but how much dishonour are we talking about exactly? I mean, I can handle a lot. I could fellate a smurf if the alternative was death.

For someone claiming he has a life, he went to a lot of trouble in getting Wayne's personal info, IP adress, copying his posts from other forums, etc.
Dante wrote:Dun worry ^_^ There may be a law against inciting this kind of cross-forum flame war. I've got some folks researching it right now. A law against inciting cross-forum flamewars?
Yeah. And I'm sure there's a law against calling other people mean names, too. Also, the Federal Government probably demands all public bathrooms to be painted blue. You should all take legal action against white bathrooms, they broke the law.

I'd originally thought this idiot was nothing more than a part time loser SD.net steps on daily with little effort. Turns out he's quite the jackass. Rivaling, if not surpassing double agent GStone.

Sueing us for cross forum flaming? I'd love to see him call the police or authorities over this, they'll piss themselves laughing.

The guy who says he owns that forum, I4N (is Dante a mod or something?) appears to be one of those hypocrital civility whores. He tries to put up an annoying phony friendly facade like a certain WEG wanker we're all very fond of, only he fails because he can't resist inserting little asshole insults throughout his post:

(parts were bolded by me for emphasis)

Pot, Kettle, Black. Take a look at the title of your videos, do you see what's in the title there. You also claimed ownership of Bridge Commander, you realize you just opened yourself up to a lawsuit from Paramount? Have fun explaining that, dipshit.
Hi there!

Glad to see you coming to my site. Please note a few things:

I own these boards. I own this website. Now, while I'm glad you came over here to debate who owns what..which I won't even touch on that yet. At least try to be civil. If you're wanting to be a tard and flame, i can find a quick ban button for you. If you have issues...which you obviously do.You can take it up with myself, or dante, in a pm and either of us will be happy to oblige you. OH and btw, change your sig. thanks.

Also I find it funny that *YOU* claim that *DANTE* said he owns ST: bridge commander. and then you claim that *DANTE* is a *DIPSHIT* (LOL INTERNET TOUGH GUY WORDS)

Oh, and what else is funny is I wasn't aware paramount had rights to bridge commander? (created by activision) but hey i guess that's a newsflash to me. I'm sure they have much less important things to worry about so they're totally going to get *RIGHT* on that lawsuit over a 20 minute fanfilm which if anything, promotes their games. Which, Mr Poe also makes videos with. But hey, he should know, he does represent paramount, right?!??!?!?!?

Now's the time where I quote something here. Dante actually did get express permission to use these footage, video, whatever you want to call it.

As per the terms stated in the license agreement (which you agree to by installing the software) you may not redistribute the software, reverse engineer or illegally copy any lines of code contained in the Star Trek: Bridge Commander disc or subsequent patches. Activision follows that fan-based movies that contain only in-game scenes and videos do not violate this agreement, and you are at liberty to hold ONLY these videos as your own, so long as these movies do not contain any clips from any actual series of Star Trek which is the property of Paramount Pictures.

Now again, Dante got permission to use this. He got permission from all of the individual mod creators as well. why are *YOU* calling *HIM* a *Dipshit*?? I'm lost for words. The very least that whoever this other guy is who you're following like a fly to shit could have done was say "hey, i'm making a friendly video poking fun at your vid, using your material. Is that ok?"

Pretty sure dante woudln't have had a problem then.

But anyways

Welcome to my site. Thanks for getting it hits. Be somewhat civil.

oh, and before you reply. check rule #1. thanks.

Other than that enjoy your stay!

p.s. : I'm up because i just got off work and decided to check my stuff at 1:42 am. WTF are you still doing up? go to bed uber nerd.
And on top of all that, Mr. Manners apparently has no problem with someone's sig being changed to say that he's a "faggot."

Poe, I find your fart jokes unfunny, your debating style a slap to the face, and your personality abrasive.
I'd still rather hang out with you any day than with this looser. He can kiss my ass, because I find him more unfunny, boring, and rather like discovering piss and spit in my coffee. Not that I drink coffee, but that's beside the point. A lot of my friends laugh at things I don't, are a bit more insulting than I am, and I'm ok with that. What I'm not ok with are liars, and people who are bigots. So, Ian, I say to you this. :finger:

Yes I am. :)

McEwok tries that bullshit polite crap too, acting chipper and going out of his way to look polite when you know he's probably pissed off at being smacked down yet again. At least he is able to maintain his facade, as transparent as it is. This I4N clown talks about acting civil, and then immediately betrays himself by calling people tards in the next sentence.

I personally don't care for most of the things that Mr. Poe cares for, but Dante's method's are, to put it simply, slimy.

Somebody makes a humorous, if insulting, video about you?
Sabotage it, get his account suspended, assassinate his character and post his personal information on the web!
If Mr. Poe is a vindictive bastard (and we all know he is ;) ), then Dante is a viciously vindictive bastard, in every bad meaning this label can possibly convey. He's the kind of person you wouldn't invite to a party, because you just know he'd start spreading lies and rumors about you afterwards, while smiling and being all polite to your face.

It's possible that Activision has copyright ownership of the visual elements of Bridge Commander rather than Paramount. It's a nitpick, though. The same arguments apply no matter which party owns the copyright. Interestingly, the Bridge Commander website has a copyright for Paramount, not Activision:
website wrote:TM © 2002 Paramount Pictures, Inc. STAR TREK and related elements
are trademarks of Paramount Pictures, Inc. All rights Reserved.
Totally Games is a registered trademark of Totally Games, Inc.
Activision is a registered trademark of Activision, Inc.

What a strange email. It asserts no rights over machinima created from scenes and videos in the game, but doesn't quite say that owners of the Bridge Commander game have permission to make them. But it does say not to take clips from the Star Trek series. If they are granting permission, why don't they say so directly? If they aren't, why do they cordon off Paramount's ST clips? Weird.

As I understand things, only the copyright holder has standing to dispute a another copyright for being an unlicensed derivative work, so from everyone else's POV the copyright on Dante's movie is valid. Not that it matters...
why are *YOU* calling *HIM* a *Dipshit*?? I'm lost for words. The very least that whoever this other guy is who you're following like a fly to shit could have done was say "hey, i'm making a friendly video poking fun at your vid, using your material. Is that ok?"
The fact that Poe's clip came from Bridge Commander directly, rather than from Dante's video seems to be sailing right over their heads. More to the point, it contains no creative elements of Dante's at all, and so can't violate his copyright.
Lord Poe wrote::wtf: How the fuck is Youtube sending me a copyright infringement message from an asshole with a made-up name? Maybe I should have told Youtube I was Han Solo.
In the US, you can use pretty much any name you want, so long as you don't try to defraud using it.

As before, IANAL.
