Who would you hire to build your Planetary defences?

You are just settong up camp on a New planet. Who would hire to built your planetary defences?

Federation Engineering Corps

Kuat Drive Yards

Correlia Engineering Co.

Dodanna/Blistexx Co.

Dominion Engineering Corps

Incom Inc.

Klingon Engineers

Most of the Star Wars companies you list build starships. I've read nothing about them building planetary shields.

Actually KDY does build planetary defenses. The Hoth Ion canon was a KDY product, and there are planetary KDY turbolaser turrets which are said to be able to battle an ISD on equal terms..
Btw, I've never heard something of the Dodonna/Blissex co.,
Blissex is the designer of the VSD and employee at Rendilli, and IIRC he worked together with Dodonna to design the A-Wing, but do they have their own company?

Regardless of that, since I've made good experiences with both KDY and Rendilli's products, I'd chose one of them.

Kuat Drive Yards all the way
They build everything from Defense Cannons to SSDs, Infact they have produced more SSD than any other SW Ship area

But then agian none of the others have *QUITE the amount of ship-building space Kuat does(Two full planets dedcated two it, along Mutiple Orbital Platforms up the ying-yang over every planet plus deep space assembly platforms for large or more sensative projects)

The Feds and Klingons have probably both government produced systems, so they, too, produce planetary defences. Probably the same with the Dominion, though I'm not sure if Incom builds planetary defenses.

Yes they have their own company. They also built the Yavin-4 defences

Gotta go with KDY on this one they have a solid base and good tech and given the firepower ratings the KDY stuff is better than what the Trekkies can put up

I should point out that so far Starfleet "system defenses" consist of little more than photon torpedo casing outfitted as drones with ridicously low-power phasers, even to Trek standards!

You could have the Federation build a huge space station with several thousand warp cores. When the enemy comes, the Feds eject the warp cores at the enemy vessels, destroying them through the use of technobabble. The only problem with this approach is having all those warp core in one place at one time. Very dangerous.

If that fails, you could always shoot redshirts at the enemy. They're gonna die anyway right?

my 2 choices were Corellian engineering and Kuat Drive Yards. so i picked Corellia. If you choose either one of these companies to build a defense system for you you have a good chance at being able to get more cool stuff from them. KDY seems like there more into politics than the Corellians. and you dont really want to get involved in warring governments like Lando found himself in.
