And It seems more BELIEVEABLE than TNG. Or else I'm just going through a temproary Enterprise phase. Aside from, Tucker is hot as all hell if you don't mind me saying so.

BUt I'm just curious what others thought of Broken Bow, and how stable the warp reactor could be compared to TOS and TNG.

Hey they went through an entire season without having ONE possible warp core breach! It *IS* POSSIBLE!!!

The exploding Warp core has largly been put down to a design fault in the Galaxy Class ship (since its was the only ship that had a bottle rockett instead of a engine).

As for the episode itself - it was ok.

One reason that it's more believable than TNG is that they only used the transporter once the whole season. So, it didn't mulitply or divide people, it didn't cure disease, it didn't turn people to/from ghosts...

I disliked the fact that they removed the good ole BELIAVBLE plasma guns in favor of the oh so hatefull phaser system, even if it's supposed to be a primitive bastardized version of it, I just hate that system so much.

I watched most of the esipodes of Enterprise. Broken Bow was one of the better ones. The 2 esipodes with the Andorians were also good.

The arc B&B have for Enterprise a so called Temporal Cold War is pretty stupid. I think Enterprise would really kick butt if the arc focused on the activties that lead to the creation of the Federation.

TUCKER?! Ugh. I'm a straight guy. I like the character, and the
actor does a good job. He doesn't make me want to puke when
I look at him, but I don't feel any attraction toward him or any
other guy in the sense that I wanna kiss him, LOL.

And hey, what about Hoshi? I think Jolene Blalock is, actually, a lot sexier,
but something really draws me to the chick portraying Hoshi.

Could it be because she's good-looking as all get-out?! She has
a very real, feminine look. Blalock/T'Pol is lovely, IMO...I know
Michael doesn't go for them, but I love Xenia Seeberg/Blalock/
Jolie lips...BUT, I really dig women that look approachable, who
don't look quite as much the fantasy super-babe that is a Pamela
Anderson.

Hoshi is shaggable :) So's the wallflower chick from the episode
in which some of the crew has hallucinations on a class-M planet's
surface. (She was also on "Six Feet Under," playing a call girl.)

Well Hoshi somehow ends up topless in the first episode of the 2nd season - who says B&B go in for cheap ratings stunts?

I find it disconcerting that some of the predominant features of this so-called prequal series are time travel and holograms.
No wonder they got Scott Bakula then.

They used the transporter more then once in the first season.

Anyway, at least the phaser's could actually be aimed with some degree of success without years of training. I can't recall if they have trigger guards though.

When was that? I always just thought it was the Vulcan who they were trying to sex up all the time.

B&B have obviously noted that a substantial number of horny teen males prefer Hoshi to T'Pol, and since horny teen males seem to be B&B's primary concern at the cost of, let's see, everything else, we get... this.

She doesn't even seem that hot in that picture, though. She IS much more attractive that T'Pol, but leave it to B&B to fuck up even their "appeal to sex" campaign to raise ratings.

Of course, I never said they could do it _well_
B&B must be real happy with themselves, who else can say that they get payed millions of dollars to refine a franchise into purer and purer forms of horse shit. 8)

Blalocka (?) without makeup and with the natural, straw-blond hair, is much more attractive.

So is Hoshi. In fact, a large majority prefers Linda Parks to Blallock. Everyone just thinks it's unfortunate that T'Pol is the one who is constantly sexed-up. I, incidentally, loved the firsttvdrama.com episode review when they summarized an entire plot with the statement that, "T'Pol has a dream she gets laid."

One quote always bothered me. In one episode, Scotty is rescued and is aboard the E-D. He tells the Holodeck to show him the bridge of the Enterprise, and the computer tells him 'There have been five ships with that name'

So Scotty says 'The Enterprise NCC-something, no bloody A, B, C, or D.'

Five ships right there. If we include this Enterprise, it's six. Odd.

Oh, and I absolutely hate the beginning of the show. First time I saw it, I missed the text that said 'Enterprise' and thought it was a documentary about space travel.

I hate that goddamn theme song. What ever happened to bad elevator music overlayed onto the credits?

Take Captain Archer's "30 million KM per second" statement, his "Neptune and back in six minutes" statement, and the "four days to Kronos" statement. Do some math; figure out the distance between Earth and Kronos. Weep when you find out that Kronos is less than two light years from Earth.

Trek writers should avoid numbers, because they inevitably screw them up.

If he actually said "NCC-1701" somewhere in his request, then they're save. The "Enterprise" from the series of that name is NX-01, so the computer would not have considered it.

And about that, how do they rationalize "USS Dauntless NX-01" from the VOY episode with the slipstream drive?!

I know they like to fuck around with continuality in regards to TOS and even TNG, but VOYAGER?!?! That's "Berman's Baby!" You figure they'd keep continuality between at least VOY and ENT straight!

My god, my opinion of B&B sunk even lower, if that's possible

Actually, they used the transporters a fair amount in the episodes I saw. The premier used it to save Bakula, they beamed a guy up in the hallucination on first habitable planet episode, they beam stuff down in the Andorian episode.
