Hazard Team vs Stormtroopers

Post by HemlockGrey »

The Hazard Team from Star Trek: Elite Force encounters a squad of stormtroopers in a thick forest. There are half again as many stormtroopers as Hazard Team members. All character shields are off, the wood is interfering with transporters, and it's too dense to land shuttles, so no reinforcements for either side.

No vehicles. Stormies have whatever weapons a team of their size usually carries; all members of the Hazard Team have access to any of the weapons from the game(which means they can get stuff like personal photon torp launcers).

For this comparison, the only thing that can be considered canon in regards to the Hazard Team is the game; so they do indeed have personalized shields. However, once these shields fail, a single shot will slay them.

Who will win?

Hmm, im thinking either draw or hazard. The stormies usually only have blasters, while the hazard has grenade launchers, photon torps, and their other big guns which can take out multiple enemies with one shot, on the other hand, the stormies do have more men. If the hazard team dug in and played defense, they would win, but if it was a offense/offense combat, im thinking possible draw.

Well, the stormies do have the E-Web, but the green t-something cannon might just be the answer.

Stormies also have similar weapons.

Hazzard Team has the Phaser Rifle with the setting of instant vaporization. Has the mini torpedo launcher with instant incineration. Has the Type-2 phaser which can vape an entire Drone in a small sweep. They also got those grenades. They got higher rated firepower weapons.

Quantity vs supposed quality. It's an argument that hs been around for quite a while. Either could win.

Well the unique use of personal transporters allows the Hazzard team to embark with much more weaponry without weight being a concern. That said, training is the ultimate factor.

Can anyone spell "Hazard Team" properly? Seriously, guys, there's only one "z" in "hazard."

Personal transporter? I must have missed this one when I played the game.
Oh, the buffer. Yeah, it tied into what I meant. With this option, the hazard team is able to perform all functions of infantry; sniper, heavy weapons and assault. And training makes a difference...

Of course, there would be plenty of stormies with their standard load of blasters (and?) grenades.

Depends, Exact numbers are needed Fokes, Depending on the Squad Size the Stormys might be carrying Full-Auto Rifles or just E-11's A Shielded E-WEB or prehaps some CHIP AA Missles(Concussion Missles) and gernades ranging from Room-Clearers to Building destroyers....

Some stormtroopers are evidently also equipped with flame projectors, flechette launchers, the Imperial Repeater (an automatic carbine), and similar heavy weapons. The shielded E-Web IIRC is actually termed the "F-Web," and its shields are only useful against energy weapons (small blasters, etc.).

Thermal detonators.

T-21 light repeating blasters.

Merr-Sonn PLX-2M missile launcher.

Golan Arms FC-2 flechette launcher.

Come on, be serious. Are we going to give the Hazard Team everything and just give the stormtroopers their sidearms?

The difference is the Hazard team can carry all of that with each soldier. A single Hazard team soldier can carry 9+ weapons along with enough energy to power them all. They carry shields which stop all enemy fire from hitting you. Their standard rifle weapon is capable of completely vaporizing a human. That is more then enough to take down a Stormtrooper. The basic weaponry behind the Hazard team is just insane for its use, and the technology being used to field it is quite nice. The shields and transporter buffer to hold items makes for a very flexible infantry unit where weight is not a problem.

So we are still looking at quantity vs quality/flexibility.

And from what I *perceive* (or understand), stormtrooper armor and hazard team armor afford the simillar levels of protection, for this engagement.

Are we gonna consider stormie weapons deplyment from Jedi Knight?

Their combat suits are all red trimmed, but when in the locker room you can see that the members come from different sections because you see gold, red, and blue tunics in the lockers.

Not to mention the Scout troopers have more grandades, Ioniioonized Cuncussion Rifeles, and Granade launchers, then standard stormtroopers.

Not to mention the hazard team doesn't stand a chance in heck against one guy in an HEV suit on stealthmode with crowbar.
