Okay, I Concede...

Post by Andrew Joshua Talon »

We got off to a bad start (which is my fault) and I made it worse by lashing out at people. I'm sorry. I'll take down the stupid Sovereign post and see what I need to learn. I need not go on a falme war which will only undermine my intelligence and make people angry.

Evil Jerk, Lord Wong, and anyone else I managed to piss off: I apologize, truly I do, though by now it may be too late for apologies.
I should follow my quote at the bottom of my posts, huh?

Why is your quote so bad?

Everyone knows logistics comes before any other aspect of war.

However, Rickovers' hyperbole does little to examine what a combat leader really requires in the field after he or she is supplied, though...

I suspect he means that in a rhetorical sense, he should have come prepared, instead of blindly marching in like an idiot and relying on a combination of arrogance and (what he presumed to be) wit to get him out unharmed.

Time will tell if he's genuinely figured it out.

Indeed, Lord Wong. You really know how to get to the point quickly. Ouch, but you're right, and it's true. This just further proves "painful lessons are the only way we learn what we need to know", as far as my mom's concerned. Great, I'm quoting my parents. Somebody just blast me now.

Boy does this bring back memories! :D

Incidently, I suppose this means I may actually owe you some thanks, Mr Wong. When I first contacted you, you effectively kicked me off my high horse and pointed out my arrogance. Though I didn't recognize it at the time.

Hey, give me credit though, I don't argue for the Federation anymore. Heck, I did try to debate Mr Graham Kennedy...figured he might be more reaonable with a fellow Trekkie...guess I learned the hard way. :)

Ya, sorry. I was refering to an earlier post by someone who asked what his signature meant.

PS. The only way to argue SW and ST appears to be on a character basis (ie. Han Solo fights Spock in the ring on that Roman wannabe planet, who wins?). This is really what it's all about anyways.

He had the sense to apologize, that's gotta count for something. I just hate the ones that keep coming, even after you knock 'em down a bunch of times (DarkStar, especially, but also Loser099).

I'd like to point out I only conceeded the Empire could crush the Federation with ease, and any obviously similar sized organizations as well. I'm not entirely certain regarding the Borg. However, I must take time and analysis all practical Borg capabilities before coming to any decision regarding their resistance to Imperial might, if there is a need for Imperial resistance. :)

As a side note, from the "Star Trek universe vs Star Wars universe" scale, it seems generally excepted that Star Trek would win by virtue of the Q.

Unless, of course, he prefers the Empire to the AQ powers. He does have a pretty good sense of humour, you know.

Exactly the Federation defeating the empire would be funny, the empire winning would be over in five minutes :D .

LOL...true enough. But I was assuming any power would defend their native universe rather then hug the other. :)

I don't know, I think the Continuum's ability to wipe out an entire Empire is debatable.. and Q would never let it happen, it would deprive him of too much fun :D

If you're implying I should get an avator, I simply haven't found an image of the Death Star firing harmlessly on a Borg cube with hundreds of disabled ISDs floating helplessly around.

I don't think he needs an avatar. Then again, I didn't have one for ages.... I'm still not wholly sure I like the new look.

But he'd miss the chance of seeing the Federation get smacked around thanks to their own complacency.
Now maybe after that he'd turn the Emperor into a chicken for kicks, who knows.

Hm... I can't figure out how to do the little previous message quote thingies! Drat.

Q might help out the AQ powers if the Empire ever showed up (of course, he'd probably chalk up another dozen trillion favors), and yet, of course, he could simply choose to watch and torment them in their impending demise. Either way, he gets to have some fun.

Erm... I'm not sounding arrogant again, am I? I didn't mean to, really...

A) I don't have it
B) If I did, that doesn't make me capable of drawing beyond the stickman stage. :D

If anything, Q would create the situation for the Feds and Empire meeting and fighting each other (even to disrupt any kind of peace talks for his own entertainment). But interfering with natural selection wouldn't exactly be in-character for him.
