That's right, I've figuered out a way star trek can win!!!!
TRIBBLES
If the Feddies start dropping 5 tribbles on all of star wars planets that have any farm lands, they will devour it. In a matter of weeks the wars galaxy will be crippled from starvation. Now who could beat that??

Re: Star Treks Ultimate Weapon
A trivial problem for the Empire's Biowarfare Research Division. An even more trivial problem overall considering the Federation warp drive's slowness and the amount of territory they'd have to cover to make this tactic effective.Straha wrote:That's right, I've figuered out a way star trek can win!!!!

Indeed. The main problem is getting to the Imperial worlds. Innovative, though.

There are many agricultural worlds in the Empire (ref. Hero's Trial, HttE, etc.). A tribble infestation on one of them would likely cause problems, but it would be easily solved.

I thought that Tribbles were extinct, after a Klingon fleet "BDZ'ed" the tribble homeworld. Or were they brought back on the Defiant in "Trials and Tribble-ations?"

Well, they could get around the getting to the planet problem by going on Han Solo type freighters to various planets and after getting most, if not all of them, with two tribbles each they would DEVASTATE the imperial food supply to the point where you would need to resort to cannablism to surrvive. Then the feddies come in with food and conquer the empire peacefully.

Actually, they probably could not move around freely with Tribbles. Freighters tend to bring foodstuffs not to other agricultural worlds, but to industrial and capital worlds where they are consumed. It is VERY unusual for an agricultural world in SW to import food from another planet. Also, there are customs inspections in SW (ref. BFC [I think Shield of Lies, specifically, when they search for Luke's lightsaber], Hero's Trial). These measures would likely pick up Tribbles if they tried to move. And the Federation lacks ships with the speed and range necessary to seed the Empire's agricultural worlds with tribbles on a consistent basis.

Han Solo Adventures Ref that every single Frieghter and ship on Large popluation and important Food Producing Worlds are run through customs before they can do anything else for just the reasons you mention about Tribble eating all the foodIt is VERY unusual for an agricultural world in SW to import food from another planet. After all after Hive Virues, Tribbles are nothing(Hive Virus are a nasty series of virus which turn any organic subspaces into carriers and randomly mutate and kill the carrier species
IE you could take
*Vial O Hive Virus drop it on the grass outside your door and the grass would become a Carrier so anyone who injested the grass would get the diseese, If a cow at it Cows would become carirers... yaadaa yaddaa
See the thing is this Super-Virus which apprently can infect damn near anything(Insanly fast mutantion rate prehaps?) was modified so it would kill its host if it discorved a certian set of chemcials
Those chemcials are whats often present in Sentient life so entire planets where kill off when these Virus are relased
Well ones who will notice that alot of stuff died will be the dead ones that is

I think the ultimate Federation weapon is ofcourse the Pakleds,
The Feds simply contact the Pakleds and inform them of the Empires huge fleet of technologically advanced ships and where to find them. Said Pakleds then bee-line for the imperial ships and this is what the captain of the lead Star Destroyer gets on his viewscreen:
this.
Oh, I'd pay to see that fight...
Anyway hilarity ensues and in the coming months the Empire focus's all its efforts on destroying any trace that the Pakleds ever existed, thus giving the federation valuable time to RUN AWAY!!
Am I right?
