Have the trolls discovered cloning or something?
Why have we suddenly got an influx of trolls (capt. Zod, Prometheus, G O D, Uss Enterprise, TOWNMNBS, etc.) all repeating the same srguments (The laser debate, the 1.5 lightspeed debate, the Imps only have 1000 ships debate, etc.). Given that they all react the same and have the same arguments it seems that the trolls have discovered some cloning equipment. Is this a new tactic. Will all the warsies kill themselves by thumping their heads against walls each time they see the same OLD arguments that have been refuted ages ago?

I believe somebody took a pure idiot and a pure moron, crossbred them, placed the result in a transporter pad and created an army of them, destined to ressurect the crappiest arguments ever to disgrace this world.

This may be partially my fault. I post on SB and apparently ruffled the feathers of some Trekkies there. They then followed me here; where they seem to continue only to multiply.2000AD wrote:Why have we suddenly got an influx of trolls (capt. *heh*
Anyway, I have but one thing to say to these... people.
READ THE ANNOUNCEMENTS BOARD!!!
Once you do that, you should have a good idea of what has been done to death around here. (hint to actually put that up with more of a direct explanation because we know these trolls can't read between the lines)

Just wishing that dalton had more of Mace Windu 25:17 left in the FUQ rather then just the line about the LT. Hitman.

Don't delude yourself into thinking how important you are. Those of us at SB.com have known about SD.net and its forums since day 1. I have noticed more "rabid" trekkies here then at SB, and that seems proof enough that they didn't come from SB.jegs2 wrote:This may be partially my fault. Yes sir, I do feel pretty poorly about it. Those fellows simply refuse to listen to debate based upon any acceptible evidence. At best, they throw in side-rules that help confirm their observations, while discounting equally valid observations that conflict with their theories. Upon seeing conflicting evidence, they go into "childish spat" mode. Truly sad....Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Damn it, jegs2, you should be ashamed of yourself!

I have seen similar things here at SD.net. The only real difference between SB and SD is that SD has more warsie fans while SB has a fairly wide range of scifi fans.jegs2 wrote:Yes sir, I do feel pretty poorly about it. Total BS? So all trolls at SD.net come from SB.com then? Care to prove that?Spanky The Dolphin wrote:That's total BS.

Re: Have the trolls discovered cloning or something?
Perhaps not, but the two clones who debated with me the other night did. I saw a marked increase in new "rabid Trekkie" posts shortly thereafter. Frankly, I'd feel more at ease if the two clones following me here to harrass me had nothing to do with it.Alyeska wrote:Don't delude yourself into thinking how important you are. Ok then, I guess I don't need to defend SD.net in SB.com threads since you don't want me defending shit.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Jesus, Alyeska, would you get off your fucking high horse already?
SB is a sewer. You don't have to defend shit.
Grow the fuck up. You accused trolls from comming from SB.com without any proof.

Don't twist my words around.
Proof? I don't need proof. Most of you guys there are total idiots. And jegs2 already said that he thinks they came from there, since he might have provoked it.

No proof eh? Well, that explains much. Might as well not bother debating you because you form your opinion not based on facts, but impressions.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Don't twist my words around.

And how the hell could jegs2 have provoked it eh? There has been cross posting between SB.com and SD.net long before he started. HDS and Howedar post both places commonly. I post in both places commonly. Some people intentionally duel post debate ideas on both threads, or link threads from one forum to another. Its the height of arogance to assume your the sole cause of something (which jegs2 did). He made a common mistake as well. Assuming that just because one thing started around the same time as something else that there is a direct connection.
Did you know that the more people eat ice cream, the more frogs there are? And how the fuck is that related? They aren't directly related, rather they have a not so easy to see connecting bit of information. The hotter it is outside, the more people eat ice cream. The hotter it is outside the more frogs fuck eachother.
So, just maybe there might be some other thing going on that brought the "trolls" to SD.net. Or maybe they are completely unconnceted.
However untill you can provide any shred of proof that the events jegs2 has referred to are connected, the assumption is baseless.

Nah, jegs2 and his threads aren't near enough to push them over the edge. The last batch to go insane was shortly after ICS. From that point on the surviving members have a high tollerance on shock value and jegs2 posts aren't even close enough to shock anyone into Trollishness or insanity. I suspect that a bunch of lurkers from both SD and SB have just decided to make their existance known. Another possibility is that a single troll posted SD.net at their troll headquarters and they brought in the "cavalry". That or Darkstar posted SD.net at rabid ST websites...IG-88E wrote:if people have debated there for a while (and they have) then he might've pushed them over the edge........
