I think I'd go with Twi-leks, for 2 reasons.

1) They look more limber (dancers in jabba's palace, and jedi)
2) They'd be less likely to have nasty STDs since in Star Trek, there seems to be some new disease every week afflicting a starship crew.

He never did give an answer at the end of how he resisted a female formed shape shifting telepath.

SW, don't know which books but a friend of mine has that Guide to the Species book, they're in it. Pretty...uhhh...'interesting' species. If they were on the list I'd vote for them.
