ISSD Executor vs. Remnan War Bird Scimitar
Each are among the most powerful and heavily armrmed ships of their repsective governments, both built in secret and for war. Which one would win in a mano y mano match?

I want to know who the hell is undecided.
Seriously, the E-E, with its 14 phasers, was able to find the thing by shooting blind. The Executor has atleast 3200 TLs, each of which can take it out in a suingle shot.

Executor doesn't even need to fire a single TL shot, which is all that would be needed to destroy Scimitar. She could win by simply ramming the Remen vessel, inflicting insignificant to minor damage if any at all.

That would require seeing the ship first. since one meathod of finding would also kill it I don't they would even need to ram the ship.Spanky The Dolphin wrote:Executor doesn't even need to fire a single TL shot, which is all that would be needed to destroy Scimitar. Ummmmm, does the person who voted "undecided" realize that the Scimitar could unload a thousand torpedoes into the Executor without bothering it? We're talking about a ship whose shields survived being rammed by three ISDs coming out of hyperspace, and which required concerted bombardment with heavy turbolasers (high gigaton range, remember) in order to bring down its bridge deflectors alone.
The Scimitar's size is actually its greatest weakness. The reason the Enterprise was able to hit it by shooting blind was because they didn't need to be particularly accurate when firing back at the source of the torpedoes and disruptor blasts since it was such a big target. Honestly, when your principal advantage is stealth, it's stupid to have a really big ship.
An encounter would look like this:

An encounter would look like this:
- Scimitar fires a volley of torpedoes and disruptor blasts with no effect on Executor's shields.
- Captain of the Executor asks what that was.
- Tactical officers say it looks like they're being harassed by a small cloaked ship using low-grade megaton or kiloton-class weapons. Not even as much firepower as a Firespray-class patrol ship.
- Captain of the Executor yawns and tells his officers to fire in the general direction of the next outburst.
- Shinzon idiotically fires again. The Scimitar is promptly ripped to shreds by dozens of turbolaser hits.
- Exitus Scimitar.

Is there some way of finding out who the unwashed infidel is?
The Executor doesn't even have to use it's TLs. All it has to do is point the nice big engines at the Scimitar and then someone on the bridge rev the engines once.

They were exiting out of Hyperspace, actually, and Executor suffered serious shield loss temporarily, so it wasn't completely unscathed.

The only death on the Executor will be some poor schmuck who trips over and spills cocoa on Darth Vader's boots.
Hell a garbage scow would destroy the Scimitar.

But was an SSD really necessary to show this? A Dreadnaught would demonstrate this just fine. IIRC about the same size as the Scimitar.
Besides an SSD is far from the most powerful starship in the SW universe.

(As noted before, decorum and proper manners will only be tolerated here. If you want a response from me, you will act civilized. I will ignore attacks and pointless flames.)
You Wonghovian Witnesses and Saxtonists will never get it, will you? All the Scimitar has to do is sit just over 200 meters away from the Executor to be out of its weapons range, and blow up its shield domes just like the A-wings did to take out its shields all over its 8km surface. Then, all the Remans have to do is beam a cloaked torpedo through the bridge windows.
Once the bridge is taken out, the Remans can beam aboard their troops to take out the dozen or so crewmembers of the Executor. (Note that we only SEE in the canon movie about a dozen crewmembers at any time aboard the Executor, and I will not dignify any appeals to non-canon EU materials which have no place in a debate about the REAL Star Wars universe)
The Remans will capture Darth Vader easily, as he will not be able to use the Force on them due to their alien heritage (See Luke's utter failure to influence Jabba the Hutt in ROTJ, or Qui Gon Jinn's similar failure against Watto in TPM.)
Once Vader is aboard the Scimitar, they will take Executor in tow, back to Remus. The Executor would then be fitted with superior Reman shields and weaponry. They will also use their superior cloning facilities that created Shinzom, to create dozens of duplicates of Vader to use in their Clone Army, then ally with the Federation to destroy the Imperials as they plod slowly through the Milky Way due to the fact that they don't have star charts for this galaxy to use Hyperspace.
