Think Enterprise can't get any lower....Watch Next Week...
Think Beavis and Butthead..err... Berman and Braga can't drag trek any lower, watch next week. T'Pol get ponfarr. They did show Archer and T'Pol together.
You wanna set an example Garak....Use him, Let him Die!!
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong
But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

So, Enterprise has killed and rejuvenated at least one person, solved the temporal war, befriended the Klingons to a certain extent, already encountered the Ferengi (which in TNG are "reclusive" at first meeting), and now they are going to do this Ponfarr-out thing with T'Pol and then I suppose Archer will whoop some Romulan ass by the end of the season, too?
And you wonder why sci-fi gets a bad rep.

Yeah, they should just have Archer and T'Pau... T'pol duke it out and nearly kill each other without pity, like Kirk and Spock. Or was that Belanna and Kim? No, the OTHER male Ponfarr-suffering Vulcan. OWTF, aren't they all the SAME? At least the Kirk/Spock one was original. Since the uh, TOS was... uh, the original.Failed Glory wrote:So, Enterprise has killed and rejuvenated at least one person, solved the temporal war, befriended the Klingons to a certain extent, already encountered the Ferengi (which in TNG are "reclusive" at first meeting), and now they are going to do this Ponfarr-out thing with T'Pol and then I suppose Archer will whoop some Romulan ass by the end of the season, too?

What a world, what a world! Who would have thought that a little girl could destroy my wickedness?
Fuck, I don't care anymore. I stopped watching trek after TNG and only watched DS9 to see lots of ships get blown up, and episodes where Garak was involved. Before we know it Enterprise will have the whole AQ mapped out and it'll be a fucking continuation of Voyager. I'm convinced that B&B write episodes by drawing words out of a hat, hell doing that will probably result in better plots than what they give us.
aerius: I'll vote for you if you sleep with me.
Lusankya: Deal!
Say, do you want it to be a threesome with your wife? Or a foursome with your wife and sister-in-law? I'm up for either.

This is nothing new, back in the first season they already snapped continuity's neck regarding Pon farr by openly talking about it, even though it's a big secret in TOS, so much so that Spock hijacks the frickin ship rather than tell anyone.
Even in Voyager, B&B's own bastard creation, Tuvok was equally secretive to the point of being irrational.
Anyway, back then it seems a lot of people suspected that they were getting ready for T'Pol to have the Pon farr even though only males get it (which is stated.. hmm.. EVERYWHERE), and it seems everybody was right.
The only reason to watch Enterprise anymore is to see what B&B will fuck up next, it's almost a morbid fascination.

You remember correctly. What does it say about B&B that AKIRA can remember correctly, but that they cannot?Akira wrote:um... IIRC, only Male's get ponfarr.

And let's say that the Vulcan males' first mating urge comes when he's 19 (Taken as an estimate from Spock's Pon Farr at 33, but it could be from 12 years of age...what a scary thought...), and it is stated that T'Pol is 65. If 33 is an age for Pon Farr, then the nearest you can get to 65 every 7 years is either at 68 or 61.
Seems that B&B can't count either...

Three rings for the NATO leaders under the sky,
Five for the UN defense board in their halls of stone,
Nine for the weak allies, doomed to die,
One for the patient man on his throne
In the land of America where all nukes lie.
One Bush to rule them all, One Bush to find them,
One Bush to bring them all and in the UN bind them
In the land of America where all the nukes lie.

Well they have proven they have no understanding of:
Astronomy: (Making Alpha Centaria a Singular System: Voyager)
Physics (Too many to count)
Chemistry: (More energetic reactions from Inert chemicals anyone?)
Nutrition (Protien in Potatoes, Enterprise)
Why shouldn't basic math be beyond them as well?
