here we go, using a photon Torpedo as a container for holding several SW concussion missiles or Proton Torpedoes and delivering them to a target after a short term FTL warp burn.

one how effective would this be?
and how deadly would 1 ST ship armed this way be to other ST ships or say to SW universe pirates?

Interesting idea... depends on how big the CM's are. IIRC, photon torpedoes aren't much larger than about 7ft. by ?2ft. by ?1ft. That'd be kinda tight...

Like I said, it just depends on how many CM's you can fit into the tube. If it's no more than 2-3, not worth it; if above that, possible.

Vs. ST-- would be pretty powerful, given that CM's are used as hull-busters in space combat (fired in twos, one to punch thru shield and another to damage hull).

Vs. SW pirates-- depends on what ships the pirates have, and their level of tech. They may be able to shoot down the photon torp before it can release the CM's!

Might actually be pretty useful, assuming they aren't engaged in flight over long ranges. Marina's The Long Patrol had refitted Strike Cruisers more or less have those kinds of weapons.

You're talking about some sort of MERV? Or just using the Photorp as a delievery device for the protontorpedos/concussion missiles? Depends on the yield of the individual missiles and the target.

As a MERV or clusterbomb, I would assume it would be quite devestating depending on the yield of the missiles.

Only if lightsaber have a frequency like phaser's do, and there's nothing to suggest that they do. But even if they did, the shear power of the lightsaber would likely overwhelm them in the same way the massed power of Federation ships could overwhelm the First Contact cube.

well I was figuring a merv weapon as since a photon torp is larger then a coffin, and a concussion missile as seen in ATOC and ANH is fairly small (smaller then a modern hellfire missile) you could probably shove a shitload of them into each photorp, and since ICS shows they have an order of magnitude more power each.....

Actually thats not a bad idea. Since Photon torpedoes already are designed to contain antimatter, what if Star Wars would use them to contain ion energy like that found in ion cannons? The force fields inside used to seperate antimatter molecules could be used with the energy- then we have Ion Torpedoes! And maybe stick a proton torp warhead at the front. When they hit, boom, they do a lot of damage, and scatter ion energy all over the enemy ship, disabling it as well.

Turbo phasers are unlikely. Since phasers are totaly different from turbolasers tibanna gas wiont improve their effectiveness.

Tibanna is just a coolant for the weapon, it has not effect on it aside from keeping it from melting itself.

So you wnat to dialate space and cause al the gravitational effects that would entail while using a technology that cuts out in the presence of a large grav field?

Hell no. Lightsabres are calced at a low end of 100 MW from the scene in TPM, Borg shields die at 10 MW from Regeneration

depending upon where you're comming from, in TIE Fighter, the Advanced Concussion Missiles are smaller than the normal ones and go faster with the same detonation, probably the best thing would be to fit six of them around a mag-pulse missile in the middle for the first blast, you knock down the shields and the ACM's to cause widespread destruction
