Imperial stormtroopers won't feed cute, furry creatures or take them to food stores. They'll assume they're some kind of infestation and kill 'em. Tribbles can't reproduce when they're A) not being fed and B) being killed on sight.

I agree the Imperial would see them as the threat that they are and deal with it accordingly.

They're nothing. They're furry creatures with no identifiable eyes, face, limbs etc. that reproduce quickly when you feed them (normal food; nothing special). The solution is simple: don't feed them.

In "The Trouble With Tribbles", everyone thought they were adorable so they fed them. And eventually, they got into the grain storage bins and gorged themselves.

On the Death Star, they would simply be classified as vermin and killed. I doubt the first one would ever reproduce, since I don't see a stormtrooper saying "aw, how adorable!" and taking it to his quarters to feed.

The tribbles would present no greater problem for the Death Star's crew than that of vermin control. For a start, I doubt the battlestation's ventiliation system would feed directly into the consummables storage tanks.

Secondly, any sector officer aboard would identify the tribbles as an infestation and order them destroyed on sight.

I'd say the station would also have maintenance 'bots designed to deal with vermin and insect control (perhaps the little box-like droids which scurry along the decks and corridors seen in ANH?). Those could be programmed to exterminate tribbles and dispatched throughout the station. Station droids could also be assigned to vermin control.

I doubt Imperial scientists would be squeamish about dissecting one of the creatures to discover the proteins upon which its lifesystem is based in order to design an effective bioagent or poison to use against them.

In short, they'd be no tribble at all.

The little box droids are mouse droids, used for communications. More recently in the NJO their chassis was used to house scanning equipment to detect Yuuhzan Vong infiltrators.

Mount a taser on mouse droids (something along the lines of what Artoo has) and send them hunting. Should be enough power in those things to kill a tribble, if not just mount blasters on them.

I thought about putting that in a corssover fic, a stormie was holed up by overwhelming numbers in a droid control room, he puts a TD on a MSE and tells it it's got a packet to diliver to the enemy room...

Seriously though the Thermal detonaors on mouse droids idea is beautiful, I would throw something like that at the Yuuzhan Vong first chance I get.
Just imagine it like the scene from Toys, where Robin Williams is delivering the dramatic pre-battle speech to the toys, except with mouse droids, R2 units, and protocol droids, all loaded to the gills with every explosive device I could find.
