What do those two have anything to do with ion cannons? Oh, and you have to make your font size something bigger than 12, not 4.

Can I get a mod to increase those text sizes? I'm used to giving sizes in HTML instead of normal apps.

No, but the Ionic Breeze air cleaner could probably disable the GCS .

Realistically, the only way I can see the thing destroying a GCS would be if someone walked into engineering and threw the thing into the warp core. Hmm...

Well, in this case, it's an ion breeze, not an ion storm, so as long as the Enterprise wears its jacket it should be fine.

Hmmm...I think the last time I saw a jacket other than on an away team was in Generations. Of course, I've avoided everything like a plague since that movie.

Fixed the text size

What in Bobs name made you think 4 was a big enough text size to see? And don't tell me HTML as no where else do people use HTML scaling

Size 4 is HTML scaling?

Howedar probably used that cause some other message boards use that scaling.

The Ionic Breeze would probably creat a warp core breach because of some technobable.

Well, UBB. Same topic is posted at SB.com.

Thanks for the fix.

Throw it in the warp core? Bouncing it off one of the nacelles would probably be sufficient.

Bah! I'm still waiting for the "ISD vs. The Swiffer" thread. :D

Huh. Well, as long as you can get the thing inside the GCS, you should be able to knock out some vital system. :D

Nah I say Geordi would see it, laugh too hard and then hit some vital switch which would cause the Warp core to meltdown.

Plug it in, and the power drain will cause the window forcefields to flicker and die, killing the crew with the cold vacuum of space. Then, thePressure differential between the Warp core's interior and the lack of air in engineering would cause it to detonate.

Those things supposedly use less energy than a light bulb. :D

They do use less energy than a light bulb. They are also less effective filters than a light bulb.

If I turn around the old Watt BS from that one idiots page, I could claim that less power than a light bulb is still enough to cause major failures on a GCS.

People use HTML scaling when writing text for HTML pages, which is more or less what posting into a web forum is. I could have made the same mistake (HTML font default is 3)

Geordi: Captain! I've detecting an ionic breeze coming from inside the ship!

Picard: Number One, find this breeze and shut it down before the the ship explodes!

*A console explodes, killing Ensign Smith*

Picard: Go now!

Riker: I'm on it.

*Riker runs through the E-D until he spots the tiny device and attempts to shoot it with his phaser while running. He trips on the floor and impales himself upon the device. It continues to chug along, pumping enough ions into the E-D to cause every single console and even a tea kettle to explode. The deadly ions reach Geordi, who has been trying to keep the warp core from going off. His visor explodes and he stumbles about until he bangs his head on the warp core and then poof! Dead E-D. *

One problem with that. They use transparent alluminum, not forcefields. :)
