Are there any Star Wars vs. Star Trek topics left?

Post by Big Phil »

What hasn't been discussed in a Star Wars vs. Star Trek thread?

As a newbie, I haven't been privy to all past threads, but it doesn't seem like there's much left to discuss, unless somebody decides to be a retard and say that Star Trek will win without any critical thought.

Sure I have one.

10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 Borg cubes versus Darth Vader on an asteroid. Vader doesn't have his lightsaber, he doesn't have his ship, and there are a whole lot of those animals that block the force (EU forget what they're called) around surrounded by forcefields so Vader can't get to them physically. Plus, the Borg cubes think that 8472 is on the asteroid and have no intention of assimilating it, so they will blow it to smitherines.

Barring moronic +1 post count like above?

You're pretty much spot on. For the most part is now down to the two organization capabilities in situations rather then 1,000,000 Borg Tac Cubes versus Slave-1 and 250 Seismic mines.

There seems to be not much left to discuss. Sad but true. Trek was flattened so completly, that the discussion itself is practically done.

Most of the discussion is now against Trek-morons, who can't admit defeat.

... as one would expect, given as how the matchup is sort of like Hornblower vs. Odysseus, on a technological scale.

Zero, nada, zip. From a squadron of x-wings vs. a sovereign to a executor class being able to conquer or at least waste the Feds, every imaginable intelligent situation or match-up has pretty muh either been done or it's outcome it the same one, the Empire wins. Unless of course the Q get pissed at the Empire killing off their play-things or if the Feds have a connie floating around  :P

Some quibbling over minutiae here and there, but since none of that could possibly effect the outcome of an Imperium vs. Federation war such arquments would be an exercise in futility.

A little more ST vs. SW discussion might come up when Episode III is released, but it most likely won't do anything to make the matchup less one-sided than it is now. I'm thinking the only reason why the discussion isn't dead now is because DarkStar refuses to concede.

The Borg win. Vader kills them left and right, but eventually dies of old age and/or runs out of batteries, whichever come first.

Nope. Didn't you read my op? Vader doesn't have his lightsaber, and there are a lot of the force blocking animals around so Vader can't use the force. Also, the Borg think 8472 are on the asteroid, so they decide not to beam down and just want to blow it up.

Too bad. How's that for an unfair versus lol..

Vader grabs a rock and bashes the head in on one of those animals, then with the force leaps off the asteroid and onto the surface of the nearest Borg ship. Using the force, he tears through the hull, jumps inside, and makes a general mess. He takes control of it, sets a self destruct, and beams to the nearest cube. Repeat, until he dies of old age.

You think give him too much credit. I highly doubt he's really a factor holding up any type of general concession or continued discussion other than his own.

Ah ha. Again you are forgetting the op. The animals (damn can't remember what they're fucking called) are contained behind a forcefield. They would need to be contained to live anyway, this is an asteroid with no atmosphere. Don't give shit about Vader being able to destroy the emitters either, whoever set up these animals are from the SW universe and these are SW forcefields. They aren't stupid enough to have the emitters exposed, the emitters are behind the forcefield itself. Of course, for extra pleasure, Vader is able to run around and throw a temper tantrum, he himself is not confined by the forcefields.

Too bad, Wars can't win this one .

briancyi,

If you read all about vornskers and those annoying tree dwelling things then you would know why armour was issued to troops it was to allow them to WALK THROUGH FORCE FIELDS the side benefit was 4 times out of ten a blaster didn't kill them. Ergo vader walks through strangles immobile lizards and therefore can once again use the force. You want to make something impossible then do it properly, if not your just being a knob.

coming here to find out which universe is stronger is like going to Old Trafford and having a debate with the "locals" on which football team is superior. Similar tactics are used as well. ;)

Ah, if you're willing to use a little imagination, actually there are almost limitless possibilities . In fact, I just came up with an idea about jerking contest between Worf and Chewbacca. And no. No lubricant allowed.

Well if you think it's wrong, then you probably don't want to hear my scenario about orgasm-delaying contest between Lwaxanna Troi and Emperor Palpa....

Aaaarghhh!!! What was I saying? Yes, Your Majesty *Bows down to an unseen person* My deepest apologize, Your Majesty *Kneels on the floor* I promise I will NEVER make pervert thouhts about you anymore.... HEY STOP IT! Canon evidence seems to indicate otherwise. Villa's defense would never stand up to a Man U attack!

I suppose all that's left is the Care Bears vs. the Empire, or Thundarr the Barbarian vs. Worf.

Or maybe Troi vs. Mr. Belvedere...

Somewhat on that regard.

SW vs ST is pretty much dead except minutia for things of what has better medical tech. AS for debates...seriously you have those who don't enter or those who are pretty much Darkstaresque quality and doing that is just being an ignorant rabid moron.

They're called Ysalamiri, and their force bubbles only extend a few meters, so if Vader can run around and throw a tantrum he can step out of range
