a ST vs. SW debate

Post by Jason von Evil »

I found this at a forum I've been going to for two years, my first post in the thread was the basic stuff I've seen people here use when comparing tech.:D Anyways, someone named RingWraith (some newbie) dared call Wong a "newbie" who made up numbers.

Just ask him how he came to the conclusion that Wong was a newb, and ask him how long he's been debating vs. debates.

I think he might actually be a trekkie or just cannot believe the truth of Wong. Eh, I made a post after seeing his and told him that Wongs calcs have been checked by various people on the forums and that they are golden.

I'm just skimming it, but I like the guy who claims that we should look at this from a tactical perspective, but then says that a Borg cube is an intimidating piece of equipment, even though it is smaller than an ISD. He is clearly totally unqualified to be debating, if he doesn't even know how big the ships involved in the fight are.

Sorry, Aya, better plan: Tell him that if Wong is a newb, he ought to be able to refute his calculations.

can you believe this?????
To let all people know these numbers are made up. If a ISD faced 5000 Borg Cubes the Borg would Beam through the Shields of the ISD and assimilate the crew and the Jedi's LightSabres would be useless because the Borg would adapt to that. Species 8472 are more powerful then the Borg and 8472 don't have a Bioship unless your talking about there BattleShip. Star Wars is weaker then Star Trek because I am a fan of both, I payed close attention and Star Wars could only win by mass numbers but in this scenarion Star Trek has like 7000 ships against 1 ISD. Have you guys thought of what Borg Cubes do when there in Groups. They Merge with each other and they make Fusion Cubes (Size of Suns) and think 5000 divided by 6, that equals 633 Fusion Cubes which are the Size of a Sun, they are almost ten times more armored and have almost 15 times more Weapons. The Star Destroyer I believe has about 100 Fighter but a phaser can destroy a fighter in 1 or 2 shots. 8472 can basically zap holes into the ISD so basically Star Wars only hope of winning this battle is to retreat.

If you need to ask me any Star Wars vs Star Trek questions I can answer those so feel free to ask.

Also to let you Star Wars fans know it takes about 25 Star Trek ships to destroy a Cube. (ignore ST Armada cubes because those are smaller version of cubes)

Edit: Let me change this scenario

Aya, to let you know Star Destroyer.net is a loser Star Wars fan that made numbers up for attention and to make Star Wars fans think that a ISD is invulnerable. I looked on back of my old Star Wars Micromachine boxs and it has the Stats of a ISD on it.

1000 ISD (with fighters)
1000 Federation Soveriegns (if spelled right)
1000 Klingon Negh Vars
1000 Romulan Scimitars
1000 Rebel Calamari Cruisers
vs
5000 Borg Cubes
vs
1000 Species 8472 Battle Ships

Well Star Trek would be allied with Star Wars because they are both human races and most races follow the Federation. The Borg hate everything in all words. Same goes for 8472 they destroyed there galaxy and they want to destroy the universe basically.

Also, Star Destroyer.net is a newb that made numbers up to make it look like a ISD is Invincible.

BTW, not only are the micromachine statistics for an ISD completely wrong in several areas, but they are also irrelevent for the kind of debate that you guys are having. Basically, they measure the NUMBER of things, instead of the QUALITY of those things. It only lists the number of weapons, but does not explain their power in quantitative terms.

Moreover, not even all humans follow the UFP. Demand a reason why the Empire and UFP would suddenly ally themselves with each other.

I'm gonna snag some reference links from the PSW forum and post them in that thread.

Ok, so 6 borg cubes = the size of a sun? I guess the extra size comes along with the 15x more weapons that wern't there before the six cubes merged. Also, how do you make 6 cubes into a cube? All that would make is a rectangle.

I would also like to know how you fit 1200 people in a 250 meter ship.

And his division is wrong too, 5000 divided by 6 is not 633, it's 833 with some left overs. To get the number he did, it would take 7.898 cubes to make a fusion cube. How do you fuse 7.898 cubes togeather?

The whole fusion cube thing came from Star Trek Armada II, a computer RTS game.

People like this... are they really worth talking to? It's difficult to believe that they are even other people, by the way they write.

I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in his stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Counciler or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate, who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who constantly says: "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I cannot agree with your methods of direct action"; who paternalistically believes he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by a mythical concept of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait for a "more convenient season."

I like the way he takes this non-canon bullshit and then ass-rapes himself with atrocious math and infinite extrapolation, concluding that they can make Sun-sized uber-cubes. Does he know how big a main-sequence star is? Or even an ordinary planet, for that matter?

Thanks, I'm tempted to add it to my sig here, if Wong approves of course.
