Good thing the White House did distance themselves from the ad.

Sounds like the White House looked at this ad and looked at the records and went "Holy shit, this thing's full of crap even by OUR standards and when this blows up, it's gonna go off right in our faces!".

How much coverage will the retraction get I wonder? Kerry's character was readily attacked now will it's repair be as widely or enthusiastically covered.

Fuckers. This one had Rove all over it.

I thought it was the BRONZE star that they were saying he didn't deserve.

Regardless, that'll about do it for SBV.

And Stravo, I don't think too many people heard about their original ads and such, except for political junkies who will doubtless hear about the retraction.

Didn't the ad run in some of the battleground states for a few days?

Yeah, but since I'm in one of the battleground states and only saw it on the news, I think it's safe to say the impact was nil. It was never as big an ad as the campaign and party ads.

No, just pointing out that despite being run the impact that the ad had was virtually nil. The news coverage of it no doubt reached more people than the actually ad.

This same schmuck endorsed Kerry for Senate in 1996! He's going to give lying, two-faced opportunists a bad name.
