Other than that, he is pretty fair. He never says the left never lies (that i know of). He only points out the lying liars of the right.
A site that purports to offer 20 to 30 some odd flat-out falsehoods in LATLLWTT.

Notes:
1 The article is the same one cited by Franken: Paul Farhi, "The Life of O'Reilly," Washington Post, December 13, 2000. [Author's note: What about those reported Florida vacations? In an October 2003 interview with Terry Gross on NPR’s Fresh Air, O’Reilly retorted, "We went to Florida one time -- on the Greyhound bus." Here is where you might find that interview.
O' Reily retorted with a "we went to florida one time." Can you believe that? You might think he would be able to get his own vacation history correct, but then again, Bill O'liely also thinks he and his Inside Edition got 3 peabody..no 2...no 3 peabody awards.
Wait a sec...he didn't. ONly got 1 Polk award, and according to the book, that was even AFTER he left the show.
O'Reily can't even remember such a achievement, even if he makes it up.
No kidding. Franken is a comedian, and this was a joke poking fun at the tatics of Ann Coulter and her dubious useage of endnotes. Apparently this guy didn't read the book, or he would have figured that out himself.Franken correctly notes in a tiny endnote on the last page of text of Lies (page 379, (paperback, p. 407)) that Evan Thomas, Assistant Managing Editor of Newsweek, is the grandson of Norman Thomas.
According to the article they give as support, Fox news filed a lawsuit because Franken stole their words Fair and Balanced, which, later, was dismissed as frivilous. Meanwhile, he says he couldn't publish the book.*NEW* Addendum C: Franken distorts Fox News lawsuit *NEW*
I don't remember Franken saying the words permanent. It was vague. He was eventually able to go through with it because the judges, thankfully, realized the stupidity of the lawsuit.but by no means did the lawsuit seek that Franken's book never be published.
Maybe he can delay one of O'reily's books due to a lawsuit."And by the way, a few months ago, I trademarked the word `funny.' So when Fox calls me `unfunny,' they're violating my trademark. I am seriously considering a countersuit."
Otherwise, it seems like a pretty good site so far. SOmeone should email with fixes then so they can be addressed by Franken, since Franken, in his book, already addresses some and other criticisms from other sources.
In pages 283-287 of Lies (pp. 293-296 in the paperback), Franken tells of how he wrote a letter to 27 right-wing and conservative figures. The letter, written in April 2003 on Harvard University stationery, claimed he was writing a book on sex abstinence called Savin' It! (not true). Under this pretense, Franken petitioned the 27 people to share his or her own story of abstinence. The author claimed he had already "received wonderful testimonies" from HHS Secretary Tommy Thompson (a lie), William J. Bennett (another lie), White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer (yup, another lie), Cardinal Egan (are you counting the lies?), Senator Rick Santorum (lie), and National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice (lie).1
Lie? It was a blatant joke, and anyone intelligent enough to read his book would know that. It didn't even READ outloud serious. It still makes a point, however. Come on he IS a satirist afterall. It's nice he admits it not only in interviews, but in his book as well, for those people who can't realise it.Franken: I think if you look at it in the context of the book, it was – I’m a satirist. And it was satirical. And I think that if you read the letter, you saw what the purpose of the letter was, which is, that these people who push – abstinence-only sex ed doesn’t work.
It's sad they are even trying to defend abstinence ONLY sex ed, much less criticise a JOKE.
Actually, 5 of the criticisms I have found so far as "lies" were not lies, rather distortions and jokes. SOME are falsehoods, but now we have to prove whether or not they were done so on purpose. Author's aren't infallible, and neither are researchers.
In his book, Franken comes across certain factual errors and he does not say they are outright lying as well; they are instead making a mistake. Why does this website jump on him without making the same statement? Perhaps they don't care?
All in all, The website is pretty good, if it's true, and if they fix some of the mistakes and ridiculous criticisms of jokes/lies .......in a satrical book made by a comedian. The difference among Franken and people liek O'Reily and Hannity??? Only ONE is a comedian and the other are for real.

This is what the site said: It said that they were handed over TO the FBI and the Philipines authorities arrested him. He also goes references that the Philipines' forces were responsible for all of the arrests. even though the FBI was responsible for tracking them down, andWhen Murad was handed over to the F.B.I. months later, the work (and heroics) had already been done ... by Philippine law enforcement!
Yousef and Khalid Shaikh fled to Pakistan. One month later, U.S. officials tracked him down and arrested him.
On February 7, 1995, Yousef was arrested by a group of FBI, U.S. Diplomatic Security Service, and Pakistani police officers at the Su-Casa Guest House in Islamabad, Pakistan before he could rebase himself in Peshawar.

If it's a tautology, how can it be a lie. Isn't a tautology always tru? He is saying it is always almost true? Is he looking to point out a "true-lie"Franken Lying about Clinton and Islamic Terror
Franken says that Clinton "focused more on terrorism than any previous president." This is almost a tautology
Note* Shaikh was stopped, but never captured. He later went on to do something else.
