McCain is the only reason I have hope for the Republican party. His defeat in the primaries 4 years ago was a devastating blow to America. I'm a Gore fan, too. But in a McCain/Gore race, there's no real loser. What we got, on the other hand....

And McCain is a moderate, thus you would be able to sympathize with him better. Just as Republicans can say they see the only hope for the Deomcratic party lieing with Zell Miller.

Bradley > Gore, in my opinion.

Both party's powerful needed an ass raping that year, and even more this year.

Or maybe his proven integrity and honesty and genuine care for some of the bedrock principles of this nation as opposed to ritualized fellatio for Bush could be a reason?

But that wouldn't fit in your little black-white-everything-in-a-labeled-box worldview, would it.

The big gay pride parade. from wycliff down Cedar Springs to lee park..then a big rally and concert there.
For I dipt into the future, far as human eye could see,
Saw the Vision of the world, and all the wonder that would be;
Saw the heavens fill with commerce, argosies of magic sails,
Pilots of the purple twilight dropping down with costly bales;
Heard the heavens fill with shouting, and there rain'd a ghastly dew
From the nations' airy navies grappling in the central blue;

I would be bloody stunned if they could get Texas with so little opposition. Texas, for all of it's redneckish, is a bit more....urban than Louisana. Something the State is trying to put out in TV Tourism ads.

May not stop them from winning. But by such an insanely large margin? I can't see it.
