Senior Bush campaign adviser Karen Hughes, a longtime confidant of the president, said she was "certain" Bush would not have said anything like that to Robertson.

Actually that sounds exactly like something Bush would say.

When I said that the Christian right wasn't happy with Bush I meant it. For all the appearance of solidarity, these groups do NOT like the pax Americana Bush Doctrine and they aren't going to be silent about their discontent past this election regardless of the outcome.
