First they came for the Communists, but I was not a Communist, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Socialists and the trade unionists, but I was neither, so I did not speak out. Then they came for the Jews, but I was not a Jew, so I did not speak out. And when they came for me, there was no one left to speak out for me. – Martin Niemoeller (1892-1984)

well it's in the front of my mind right now in relation to ashcroft, and I hope that it's just silly-ness

Living in IL it didn't matter who I voted for because the Chicago Political Machine is gonna vote for me, so.... I voted to save 20% on my next Warhammer 40k purchase. Now you can all point and laugh.
And how does one save 20%?

What political party was this a platform for? The Imperium solidly supports Bush's policies, but the ability to read is traditionally a Democratic trait.

"Vote Eisenhorn, 04"
"Gunslinger indeed. Quick draw, Bob. Quick draw." --Count Chocula

"Unquestionably, Dr. Who is MUCH lighter in tone than WH40K. But then, I could argue the entirety of WWII was much lighter in tone than WH40K." --Broomstick

"This is ridiculous. I look like the Games Workshop version of a Jedi Knight." --Harry Dresden, Changes

"Like...are we canonical?" --Aaron Dembski-Bowden to Dan Abnett

Bush is a monkey. Specifically, his thinking is very similar to chimpanzee social behaviour. Chimps are famous for being tender and compassionate within their own clans while simultaneously being incredibly ruthless and cruel to those outside their own clans. That is George W. Bush: a man with the social attitude of a chimp. It must come from having the brain of one.
Love the anolgy.

Heh. You'd probably like this site's perspective.

As for stupid reasons to vote Bush, the one I've heard from all too many monkeys calling into the C-SPAN lines: "We need a president with moral values". Yessir, the country and the whole world can burn, but it's all right if it means having a president with those all-important moral values.

I've heard that and worse. I was watching C-SPAN sometime back, and some moron said that Bush should be President b/c he is a moral person, and that ppl 'complaining about the economy and Job Loss are being "superficial"!! I got soo upset that I yelled at the TV.
