Move To Stop 'Gay Sex' Talk In Calif. Schools

(Walnut Creek, California) A Bay Area Christian conservative has begun to gather names for a ballot initiative to limit sex education in California public schools.

The measure has received approval from the Secretary of State's office and Attorney General Bill Lockyer's staff has carefully worded the petition to include only a ban on sex ed in kindergarten through sixth grade and for daily parental permission slips for older students.

The man behind it, Tony Andrade, says fears "homosexuals are using high schools as a recruiting ground".

Andrade was behind the to recall of Gov. Gray Davis in 2003.

In his promotion for the new initiative he links classroom discussions of homosexuality and domestic partnership with bestiality, pedophilia and necrophilia.

The suggestion has angered the California Teachers Association.

"None of this is normally taught in schools," Association spokesperson Sandra Jackson told the Contra Costa Times.

Andrade tried to get a similar measure on last year's ballot. With the help of Traditional Values Coalition, Save California he gathered 100,000 signatures before a legal challenge derailed it.

If Andrade gets enough signatures to place the proposition on the ballot and if it is accepted by voters it would ban any sex from being presented in health classes, books and posters.

The only exception would be for individual students who request confidential counseling from a school psychologist or police officer.

Hahaha. Thats classic. But anyhow, it is part of their bullshit about homosexuality being a consious choice that anybody can make. They don't know a damn thing about anything. And, of course, this will help them promote their precious abstinence pushes, too.

Actually, their thinking is based on the presumption that heterosexuals can be easily tempted toward homosexuality, and the only bulwark against mass migration to the other side of the fence is a social atmosphere of extreme hostility. That's why they rail against "normalizing" homosexuality and speaking frankly about it in public venues; they are terrified that if you take away the constant withering stream of hate toward homosexuality, their children will flock to it en masse.

It's interesting because only someone who is not entirely secure about his sexuality would subscribe to this mentality. Someone who's sure he could never be "tempted" to become a homosexual wouldn't be too worried about others "recruiting" people into Gay World. The idea only seems plausible if you believe that people are vulnerable to this temptation.
