Someone at the Connecticut State Emergency Management Agency "pressed the wrong button" and ordered the evacuation of the entire state today. Oops!

Here in Georgia, there's two options...

A.) Hie down to the church and offer oblation for the tribulation to come, or

B.) go "Honey, what's that about evacuating the state? Ah well, screw the hunting regulations then. Hand me that there shotgun, then..."

:P
It's a strange world. Let's keep it that way.

Ha, we'd never abandon our state. The Long Islanders and Mass-holes would come in and stink up the place. :P

So there's just one big button that says "Evacuate"? I would think it would be like launching a nuke, with special keys and the like.

every state emergency management agency has acess to the emergency broadcast system. the system has the ability to immidiately interrupt programming on television and radio as well as send messages to computerized road signs. They were supposed to perform a test to the system, and instead issued an automated evacuation order.

Connecticut isn't very big and isn't very far above sea level. Still, it would take a major catastrophe to require the entire population to leave. Nuclear meltdown, asteroid coming down in the Atlantic, incoming nuclear attack are the only three I can think of.

Please, now, why would we come down to a cold, dead state like CT? The only reason I'm here is school. After that, I'm outta here!

For all the ribbing Quebec recieves, I don't understand why the punchline isn't for Quebec to succeed in seceding.
