I read today on one of the major websites (CNN, BBC, one like that) that the official position of the TSA is that children under 2 should not be barred from boarding airplanes even if their name is on The List - but yet the TSA has also received official complaints of precisely that involving children as young as six months.

So... is it overzealous TSA screeners? Is it airline personnel (who also play a role in denying boarding to suspicious characters)? Is it just plain too much "cover my ass" in the local water supply?

It's fucking stupid, any way you cut it.

Now I did a job. I got nothing but trouble since I did it, not to mention more than a few unkind words as regard to my character so let me make this abundantly clear. I do the job. I can't imagine that these people actually know the meaning of a real blacklist. I mean: Who bans a child from travelling because they share names with a 17+ year old TERRORIST...

Fucking idiots.

Fucking moron.

If you were to name your newborn "Terrorist" would they still be "not allowed to board" or would they simply wave the little one past without looking twice.

And what the hell is all this business about birth certificates anyway, ain't I proof enough that I was born!? :P

Couldn't they hypothetically have a baby swallow a bomb, like sick sadistic bastards, and use it to smuggle the explosive in? It's a morbid possibility, one that even Islamofundies might not stomach.

Still, that has nothing to do with the current scenario; just a thought.

If I had been on the desk and what was written was that I was not to let this name aboard I would not let them on. Yes its stupid & ridiculous but you never know how stupid or ridiculous your senior is.

It isn't that surprising considering the screw-ups in airport security. Wasn't there a case a few years back about detaining a guy who had a Medal of Honor because they thought it was a weapon from all the points on it?

My question is why aren't they getting their pants sued off and asses litigated by big burly lawyers named Bubba?
