"The suffering of the poor is something very beautiful and the world is being very much helped by the nobility of this example of misery and suffering.”
Good fucking god. I just recalled once again why I loathe religion almost in every form.
Lì ci sono chiese, macerie, moschee e questure, lì frontiere, prezzi inaccessibile e freddure

I don´t really doubt that she could have said this but i just googled that sentence and all it turned up was one source which was another person on another message board claiming that she had said this. Do you have a real source?
I doubt Hitchens would invent that quote. But then, I don't know.

Mother Teresa be damned, what I want to know is why was the international media lionizing her and sucking her virtual dick like a meth whore needing a fix? Didn't Hitchens himself say that she had "some sort of hammerlock" on the media?
If her actions were judged by her reputation, who got that reputation started?
Something about Libertarianism always bothered me. Then one day, I realized what it was:
Libertarian philosophy can be boiled down to the phrase, "Work Will Make You Free."
In Libertarianism, there is no Government, so the Bosses are free to exploit the Workers.
In Communism, there is no Government, so the Workers are free to exploit the Bosses.
So in Libertarianism, man exploits man, but in Communism, its the other way around! If all you want to do is have some harmless, mindless fun, go H3RE INST3ADZ0RZ!! Grrr! Fight my Brute, you pansy!
Yeah, there's also a great Penn & Tiller critique on Gandhi, another Indian icon, with his hypocritical race hatred of black Africans and his bizarre scat obsessed sexual habits.

She was in a terrible craphole in India, a far away country that most of her donators and adulators could not go to and find out what was really happening. Plus she had the Catholic Church behind her. That is grounds enough to build up decent PR to cover up her more dubious actions (although oddly in that P&T clip Mother Theresa allowed a camera crew into one of her dungeon like "hospitals" for the terminally dying).
