I know I'm not fully informed in many kinds of subjects, haven't earned a PhD in engineering or astrophysics and impulsively blurt out rubbish too many times so I am well aware of my failings and I am a moron in comparison to other members, but this is the first time I crossed tracks with you, Colonel Olrik, but next time it would hopefully be under better circumstances. I apologise for my lack of insight in my ill informed opinions.
To give you a more sensible and better thought out opinion, I would not be surprised that local policemen from a quiet and out of the way holiday resort would be out of their depth in solving a very important case, with things made worse by the the media pushing their noses into everything, then harassing witnesses, suspects, Madeline's family and jumping ahead of official announcements made by the authorities with their made up theories published in the tabloids and news reports, sowing serious disinformation amongst the public (especially when it came to innocent suspects like Robert Murat and throwing attention away from Madeline's parents who are now prime suspects).
But I haven't been reading much into the case, due to the contrived and sickening faux sentimentality the UK media has towards the missing girl, however I did hear about British police investigators helping the Portuguese police in this mess (the real monsters in this sorry mess are the UK media and very likely Madeline's parents). Can you please properly inform how competent Portugal's urban police are, so I won't crap out uninformed rubbish?
What the fuck? Portuguese shopping queues are no different from those, let's say, of the Germans. I know because in the first country I lived my first 24 years, and in the second since then. I've also been several times in your country and can't say I'm impressed by your shopping queues either. Where is this coming from? Did you use to get beaten up by a Portuguese at school, or something? Or maybe those last defeats in the Euro and World Cups are still too large a load for you to swallow?
I don't even like football and I have had no negative experience with the Portuguese, but it may have merely to do with the town I stayed in where I always had to wait in a check out queue longer than necessary due to the locals having this odd "system" of going through their shopping list for a prolonged length of time before packing up their goods and leaving. I had this ignorant theory that this odd form of methodical behaviour could apply to the Portuguese way of police investigation, but it came off as dumb stereotyping.
