If you look at figures for which states are overall payers and overall receivers of federal funds, that is which states pay more to the federal government than they receive back or vice versa, the South's economy is still built on stealing hard work from others.

I'm about to the point where I think the US Congress should make a Victory America Day, where we all celebrate the South getting it's ass kicked.

I wish I wouldn't have missed Loyalty Day, I was going to burn a Confederate Flag.

Yeah, but to be fair, it's just as likely that once the "immigrant scare" is underway, the second, third, and fourth generation Mexican and Hispanic immigrants will be shouting just as loud as the second, third, and fourth generation Italian, Irish, and German immigrants are doing now.

The whole notion of a load of immigrants from Europe who systematically murdered the people who lived there before considering themselves "full blooded Americans" makes my smug and superior side smirk with contempt. It's sad and hilarious how unironic and unrealising they are in their gormless, flag-waving retardation. I'd tread on them.

What they sense is that their heritage is being swept under the carpet while multiculturalism becomes the new national narrative.
Maybe it's because I have a mindset that makes some attempt at remaining rational... but since when is multiculturalism such a great evil? My whole life I've been taught that it's, y'know, *good* to look at other peoples' cultures and see if they have anything awesome that we don't that we can adapt into our own.

1) I just found out, two weeks ago, that I apparently have a bit of Seminole blood in me, from my great-great grandmother on my father's side, which makes me effectively more 'American' than a vast majority of people. I celebrated by engaging in public acts of indecency and non-patriotism.

Of course Obama isn’t a full American, just eyeballing him he doesn’t seem to have more then 40% of the weight of a full citizen of the land of the free.

Well, their forefathers, right? I presume that slaveholders indeed had a jolly good time. You see, their heritage is antagonistic to multiculturalism.

Clearly it is a not-so-veiled reference to the slave-holding America we all love and are ready to fight for. I'm not sure if that's supposed to be irony. The phrase does look like it has a darker and far more sinister undertone.

No, those racists know full well what they are saying, and what they are doing.

It's pretty funny that the average dumbshit redneck from around the Appalachians is worried about racial purity when a large majority of people from around there have Native American and African-American blood in them. My parents are from North Carolina and I have Cherokee blood from my Father's side.
One of my cousins almost got disowned from having a Puerto Rican fiancee.

No, No, No Sherman DAY, where we march to the nearest sea, elevating all of the underclass while we burn down the fat cat's mansions along the way.

yeah, Appalachians territory, means that by definition you are a Welsh or Irish slave, who came over to this country and had children with native americans and escaped slaves, all the while flipping the bird to the lawful government be they the King in England or the President in Philly, or The President in Washington.

I forgot, when did mountains spring out from underneath DC and raise enough area for it to be considered a part of the Appalachian Mountains?

When Sen. Byrd slipped that into the most recent highway appropriations bill.

Hmmm... I know they said that Corridor-H would connect West Virginia to DC, but I didn't know he meant it literally.

In the sort of general feelings or attitudes that I'm aware of/noticed, there seems to be more Southern wank than Northern gloat. The North defeated the South, but there isn't really a lot of rah-rah about it, seemingly not as much as this Celebration Of The South (by the South) and its glorious agrarian and genteel view of itself. I live in a Northern state and we have our monuments and reenactments and such, but beyond that, there really isn't a lot people say about it. I don't know, personal perceptions, take it for what it is. The end of the Civil War seems to be more celebrated (such as it is) than the defeat of the South, if that makes any sense. Maybe 140+ years on has dulled any excessive feelings of pride the Northern part of the country has of itself, but it sure seems like the South loves to celebrate its underdog self.

Clearly, none of the political parties have candidates fit for becoming Prime Minister. Not one of them is a full-blooded Briton, but is instead the product of thousands of years of uncontrolled and indeed forcible immigration. With this kind of history behinds them, how can we sleep safely knowing at any moment, one of them grab an axe and begin rampaging through Sunderland, looting, killing and burning as they go, before pressing the survivors into serfdom.

Beware the Anglo-Saxon menace!

...

No, I don't think I'm any closer to understanding the generic hick viewpoint. Seriously. What's wrong with these people?

Wait, John McCain is just a pseudonym for Flying Eagle?

How could I have missed just how much of an American McCain was?
