As pointed out, natural gas is far too valuable to waste in cars. In the UK, natural gas makes up a big chunk of home heating because it is the best fossil fuel give it's the cleanest, highest in energy content and the best for transportation. It's just not a good idea to throw something like that in cars when people will be freezing to death due to lack of other heating alternatives, and the US electrical grid is in horrific need of overhaul.Broomstick wrote: The US doesn't have enough of anything to run cars on - that's why we buy imports.
No one thing is going to replace gasoline and petroleum so get over the concept. Seriously, is there a reason we can't have both electric and natural gas vehicles?
Just getting the US populace to buy cars that are equivalent to EU or Japanese efficiencies would be a huge leap.
