So, I was sitting at home over the weekend and got one of those phone calls for surveys. Since I had nothing better to do, I decided to answer and write down the questions for you all to enjoy, hoping that the questions might be more exciting than they actually turned out to be. This came from Winston National Research:
1. Generally speaking, are things in the country (USA) headed in the right or wrong direction?
2. Do you approve or disapprove of President George W. Bush
3. Do you approve or disapprove of the job congress is doing.
4. Do you have a favorable or unfavorable impression of democrats in congress? Would you say that is "somewhat" or "strongly" favorable or unfavorable?
5. Do you have a favorable or unfavorable impression of democrats in congress? Would you say that is "somewhat" or "strongly" favorable or unfavorable?
And that was it. I thought this poll seemed pretty lame, and I can't imagine what use this would be. Is this the sort of polling that we see turn up in the news as "statistics"? Seems lackluster.
