So far, with just two days in office, Obama has made five of his campaign promises happen, is working on another 14, has one stalled, one more that he had to compromise on, and none flat out broken. Might be something nice to keep an eye on. But, so far, so good.

Good thing to have. Now he's in office, we can see how he keeps his word on those promises. It's all very well to have charisma and promise the world, so long as you deliver on at least a good chunk of it. As I often say now, Blair was a brilliant orator too and look where that ended up. Obama should break the mould, one would hope.

That's a handy little site. I'd ask why we didn't have one of these when Bush was around, but I'd imagine it would have quickly become irrelevant.

Isn't it a little early for this kind of score keeping? C'mon, he's only been President for 3 days (OK 3-1/2). Let him percolate for a while before drawing any conclusions.

I don't think it's to early at all, CC. What we're seeing so far is Obama isn't wasting time. Only two full days in office and he's already getting to work.

If they keep it updated regularly, I think this would make for a great reference for debates on US politics that we know are going to happen. Maybe a sticky is in order?

I'm starting to take this "Obamameter" a little less seriously. . .why do they have "Get his daughters a puppy" as one of Obama's promises (click the "in the works" link)? Or are they just tossing out anything that they heard him say he'll do whether or not it's apart of national policy?

Based on the way there's over 500 things listed on there, I'm going to go with the latter.

Well, since he's done 5 completed in 2 days of being president, he should be able to get about half of them done in his first hundred days at this rate. That's good enough for me.
