You asked if it was a crude thing to say, and I responded in the negative. The USAF does not like to place nice with others, or have people moving in on "their turf"(anything that flies). The USAF would never admit that the Army came up with a better system for UAVs, at best they'll do their own "independent study" with a test group and come to the conclusion on their own.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles."

The Predator can't land itself? That's retarded. For all the shit I give the Global Hawk, at least the damn thing can be autonomous.

Keep in mind the Global Hawk is literally ten times more expensive, and ten times as heavy as Predator. It also has much different role, wide area coverage like that of the U-2 spyplane. It can photograph or radar image tens of thousands of square miles on each sortie. It isn’t normally expected to focus in its attention and orbit specific targets providing continuous real-time coverage.

Understood. I appreiate that you went into detail as to why the USAF had that mindset, but your original message made it sound like you agreed with that, hence me querying sarcasm or genuine opinion.

I'm guessing you didn't know. Loinstar used to be in the Navy. As he has ably demonstrated, the USAF, USN, and US Army don't agree with each other very often. The odds of Lonestar actually subscribing to the views he put in italics are very low.
