What's worse is that money is supposedly tight in the family because of his mother-in-law's medical bills (though he was planning to spend that money on a fishing boat, which is what happens when you don't believe in THA LARD hard enough). Now he has to replace fucking monitor.
Seriously, it's equivalent to saying, "Gee, I'm addicted to alcohol. Let me smash every single glass in the house. That way, I won't be able to drink, see?" It's insanity.
