Unexpected feast in Zimbabwe.
Auf Schwedish ...

Zimbabwian villagers carve up a 6 ton dead elephant like human piranhas, in less than 2 hours only the bones remain and in 24h even those are gone ( for cooking soup ).
A rare feast in Mugabe's starving KZ-camp nation.

Re: Unexpected feast in Zimbabwe.
In Zimbabwe, it's cheaper to wipe your ass with money than with toilet paper. That's factual calculations.
Holy fuck this somewhat remindes me of Russia in the 1990s, the hyperinflation and malnourishment everywhere - but... even here it was not THAT bad. Incomparable, probably.
If Zimbabwe started printing edible money, they could alleviate the malnourishment. And yes, that's me being grim as usual.

Since I can't read Swedish, how did the elephant die? I presume someone shot it, but, well, like I said, I can't read Swedish.

From natural causes probably, doesn't say anything about it being shot. The Spartan wrote:Since I can't read Swedish, how did the elephant die?

Re: Unexpected feast in Zimbabwe.
That´s how all the big game was wiped out during the civil war in Mozambique. All the elephants, lions and other cool animals were eaten by the starving population. Now they don´t have any animals left to attract tourists anymore. Only a couple of baboons. Can´t blame the people, though, for wanting to eat.

You can blame Robert Mugabe, though. I love how amidst all of that incomprehensible Nordic text, on the right we see a bunch of pictures of an elephant getting devoured, and on the left we see Robert Mugabe's ugly mug in that website.
Why on Earth is that guy doing that to Zimbabwe, and why are the people letting him do it? Why isn't there a goddamn revolution, or a bloody impeachment, or anything? I can't believe whatever political resistance is just a bunch of guys who gets cowed because Mugabe's goons threaten to beat them with stick.

I believe the lack of political will is because the African council are unwilling to impeach one of their own, out of fear that their own finances, corruption and murky dealings might similarly be looked into. Also, they won't back colonial white powers such as the UK against one of their own.Why on Earth is that guy doing that to Zimbabwe, and why are the people letting him do it? Internally, Zimbabwe's opposition parties have been silenced by their coalition with Zanu PF which doesn't seem to have worked out well for them.
The reason there isn't a revolution is that pretty much anyone with the means to do so has left, and those who remain are cowed, yes, by Mugabe's bully boys. Mugabe is still popular with the army, I think, thanks to delivering on his promises to give the Zimbabwean army farms taken from the rich white. Farms they ran into the ground, helping create poverty and starvation.
Urgh.

Because it's the same story as in Thailand, America and countless other fucking nations where partisanism has become a religion. He's the head of the party that enough of the people love that no matter what he fucking does they'll never agree that he's bad.Shroom Man 777 wrote:You can blame Robert Mugabe, though. And anyway Shroomy, here's something to cheer you up. Proof that Mugabe eats children.

The sophisticated god-cult, autarky and police system of DPRK is a good explanation. Zimbabwe is just horribly busted.
Iraq and Afghanistan are under occupation, no fair comparison.

I mean They way they used to be. (Although granted, they weren't as bad as this). I was for liberation, remember?Stas Bush wrote:The sophisticated god-cult, autarky and police system of DPRK is a good explanation. Zimbabwe is just horribly busted.
