Does anyone have any good year over year comparisons between the US, former USSR and global economies? (GDP growth, trade, military size..)?
I'm looking for a comprehensive source that can be narrowed down to 1991-2000, without plucking it out one year at a time from a cornucopia of random sources. (IMF, natiomaster, CIA factbook - all are lacking either in data or narrowing down the time range. Best would be a "mountain graph" with world GDP, USA, Russia etc' comapred 1991-2000)
(I'm looking for sources on the increase in the USA's hegemonic power during the 90's).
Thanks!

Many good sources here on the homepage of late Agnus Maddison.
Especially this excel file showing GDP, GDP per capita and population 1820-2008.
It has nothing on military size though.
For example I created a chart showing USSR and combined French, German and UK economy as a percentage of US economy in 1928-2008 interval(green segment is Russia alone starting in 1992):

Damn, you made a thread about that faster than I could've thought.
One of my old threads.
Use Google translate on this page and you'll get a good overview of many, many things. Built on Rosstat data.
This post might shed some light on the healthcare situation.
This World Bank technical paper is highly recommended: Branko Milanovic. Income, Inequality, and Poverty during the Transition from Planned to Market Economy. World Bank Technical Paper No. 394. 1998
http://faostat.fao.org/
Your friends for calorie consumption rates (USA, USSR, Russia, separate republics of the USSR).
This is mandatory reading:
http://hdr.undp.org/en/reports/global/hdr1990/
I've also rumbled through some stuff with Iosef during one of my debates with him (he pathetically ran off, claiming that all other indicators are meaningless except for one, that being life expectancy, and malnourishment in Brazil is... not important), but that's about USSR and Brazil. It does give a good overview of last years of Soviet economy.
Mandatory reading, pay attention to GDP stats.

Rosstat and the like are good stuff, as are statistical almanachs on Soviet "National Economic Indicators". I'll look them up in the Russian internet.
