Let's see, I wear glasses, fear losing my sight more then anything, and have had hearing difficulties during my lifetime.
I've also been temporaly paralyzed due to muscle pulls/tears, and a variety of other causes.

None of them are nice things. I've literally been 'partially blind, partially deaf, and can barely move'.

But you know what?

Consider what Glenn Beck has done? His views, rants, and actions show he doesn't care if that happens to other people.

If anyone deserves it, it's him.

It's horrible, but he considers the sight of other people, especially poor people, to be equivalent to a humvee or 50" flat screen TV. I have sympathy for him, but I have more contempt for him.

If we were talking about Rush 'Oxy' Limbaugh, and him dying of liver/kidney failure, I would probably jump on the ToughGuy-hurr-hurr-hurr train. He would/will have earned that[damn]theoretical[/darnit] death. However, we are instead considering the possible fate of someone who, however odious his views may be, is facing major sensory loss through no fault of his own (unless you can prove that masturbation leads to blindness - which might explain my problem).

What, you really think my merely wishing him to be run over by a car tomorrow will make it any more likely to happen? You should grow the fuck up. Unless you're a god, you can't will stuff to happen, and thinking your inner desires have some weight on whether or not a person is afflicted with a genetic disorder is a pretty silly outlook on life. Now if I got on my national television show and expressed that thought to throngs of dutiful and mindless listeners that would be a different matter. Who do we know that does that?

Besides, as far as I know, I never said “Gee, I hope Glenn Beck goes blind,” so I can hardly be accused of “wishing that on him,” and as far as I can see no one has actually said, “Good, I’ve been willing this to happen for years!” We’re all just reveling in the news that something bad happened to someone bad.

Experiencing a little schadenfreude (especially for such an atrocious man who has done not a single good thing I can think of with his success) is hardly the mark of the immature or the evil.

Well, he won't go blind blind anyhow, he'll "just" lose his central vision, and might qualify as legally blind. His peripheral and night vision should be pretty unaffected.
