A three-day federal crackdown on child prostitution rings across the country has resulted in the recovery of 69 children and the arrest of 884 people, including 99 pimps, federal authorities said Monday.
Meanwhile, in Tennessee, authorities announced Monday they were arresting 29 individuals involved in gangs that trafficked underage Somali and African-America girls in a prostitution ring. The 29 people were connected to the Somali Outlaws, the Somali Mafia and the Lady Outlaws, officials said.
The three-day federal sweep, called Operation Cross Country V, involved 40 cities nationwide and is part of the Innocence Lost National Initiative, authorities said.

When I first saw the headline, I thought "884" was a typo. But that number is real, as is this one: 1,250. That's the number of kids recovered. I know this was fifth of five raids, so they didn't arrest all eight hundred in one swoop, but bloody heck that's huge.
I hope that the sentencing involves a gratuitous use of "life without possibility of parole".

Might not be so sure about that one since there is probably enough of them to form their own prison gangs.
You'd have to distribute them most uniformly among the prisons.

They are going to Federal prisons so so it's probably not a problem in a country the size (and prison count) of the US. Of course in most EU countries sex offenders could be put in a separate cell block to protect them from retaliation. The punishment aspect of prison sentences is supposed to be the loss of freedom, not Bubba in the shower room.

The US tends to have a macabre attitude of expecting Bubba to be further punishment for the convicted in prison. Honestly, I'm not immune to it myself when it comes to child rapists, which is essentially what people who prostitute children are. But it's more than just a joke, to be blunt; the percentage of male inmates raped in prison is higher than the percentage of women raped in the general population outside of prison, which is not a small figure.

The US has protective custody as well, which is where they put such inmates. Alongside informers and others who would be at risk from the general population.
I have no idea what space is like at federal prisons, but they would have the option available.
