RICO against Corps (open OP/ED)
so given a pattern of feloneous operations in the Mortage/Foreclosure scandals, and in BP's safety cutting measures, why doesn't someone sue them under RICO statues over a systematic and organization wide pattern of illegality? I mean if corperations continue to act like gangsters, why don't we imprison them and confiscate thier holdings like we would actual gangsters?

Because most people who get convicted in RICO trials don't make million dollar donations to political parties on a regular basis.

Yep. If it was legal the US based growers would get less money selling it and have to pay taxes and the mexican drug carters would be shit out of luck because no one would buy from them any more.[R_H] wrote:Really? Would the THC content have been regulated as well? Plus then a whole schwack of other regulations and hoops to jump through.darthdavid wrote:Yep. More than likely, ADM or one of the other giants would put the small growers out of business while churning out bad produce -just like they have with every other crop.

Of course the real advantage to legalization would be that you could just plop some plants down in your vegetable garden, grow them how you want and no one could shay shit about it. Though it would be amusing to see Marlboro Greens or whatever show up on the shelves.

Re: RICO against Corps (open OP/ED)
actually the prop 19 law appears to have been written for/by ADM because the footage a non-licenced grower is allowed can only be done with a few hydroponic strains whose patants are owned by.....
