And so the question comes up - what if you already HAD a GPS tracking system in your car as a security system, say?

Could the police coerce the company to let them have the data without a warrant?

Coerce? I don't think so, but often companies will voluntarily do it if asked, generally corporations cooperate with the police as long as they aren't being investigated themselves.
