Long story short - Hilary Clinton claims that the US had successfully waged a cyber attack against AQ on a Yemeni website. Did they hack AQ propaganda? Well no. It was later admitted they posted anti AQ adverts on this site, oh wait... Later on it was claimed that the State Dept didn't do that. It just posted on a forum pointing out the US point of view. The same thing a lot of us do on SD.net and other forums.

So $6 million, hiring 40 people, and so far what we have to show for it, is they post anti AQ messages on a board. Say what? If there wasn't a language barrier I bet a lot of SD.net "cyber warriors" could use the extra cash trolling pro AQ sites too.

I believe Stuart Slade posted some interesting news about what RUSSIAN hackers have done, i.e., hack Al-Qaeda sympathizers' internet accounts to track what websites the Islamists visit, and then post evidence those terrorist-wannabes were looking up shemale porn.

I think the US State Department should contract cyber attacks to the Russians, to improve Russo-American relations (and save American taxpayers' money).

Back in the day Al Jazeera was hacked with their screen being replaced by the word... you guessed it FREEDOM. Looks like the US needs to outsource its cyber warriors to the private sector.

Oh, and it seems I have just been engaged in a cyber battle on youtube with a racist cumstain, who is too stupid to realise that a country competing in EUROvision is from Europe and not Africa.

If anyone is wondering how the hell that conversation arose, it was on a news report on Ukraine nationalists. Basically the Ukraine contestant for Eurovision 2012 has a Ukrainian mother and a Congolese father. The Nationalists use a variation of "I have black friends but..." saying I like her singing, but people might think Ukraine is part of Africa looking at her. Yes people, an African country will really compete in EUROvision. When I pointed that out, some racist attacked me and totally ignored the argument. So being a cyber warrior I fired back about his inbreeding habits and mocked him for failing to realise that only European countries (ok Israel arguably falls more in Asia than Europe and is the exception) compete in EUROvision. So far the coward hasn't replied back.

Well, Iceland, Israel and Morocco are all geographically outside europe and compete in the eurovision song contest...so the name of the contest doesnt really mean much.

Wiki might not be the best source, but generally islands and archipelagos are obviously the opposite of a continent in a geographical sense. But for the most part some of these islands are counted as Europe in the political sense (rather than giving them their own separate region), which includes a couple of the countries who have participated in the past, eg Malta, Iceland. Morocco isn't participating in this years Eurovision (and haven't done so for years IIRC), so not an issue. So the name doesn't mean as much as I thought, but generally its still mainly European countries participating with exceptions as I noted.
