CREAAAAAAAAAAN!

Post by Alkaloid »

So, what's the call guys. Ruffs camp are claiming he initially planned to contest, but didn't when Simple Simon didn't bring the numbers be promised. Cream claims he never had to bring numbers, and genuinely thought Rudd would run. My working theory is Rudd is the same spineless egotistical shit he's always been, and this was what he was always going to do, it's just a more subtle version of what he and his 'tactical group' were doing with the leaks before the last election, and it was a deliberate play to further tank labors chances of looking half respectable when the results are tallied, because he would rather be in charge of a shambolic corpse of a party than not in charge of a.functional government. Im not Linking to an article im on my phone, but I assume you were all awake over the last two days.

Unless they can do something big soon, this can be another case of Labor looking like a shambles. Labor Left and Right can't work together, and as a result they should be screwed provided the Mad Monk can avoid a major misstep.

He is talking about the blood letting in the Australian Labor Party (yes they use the American spelling of Labor instead of the British spelling of Labour despite us using British English, so go figure that one).

In 2007 the ALP swept into power after years in the political wilderness under Rudd. In 2011 when some polls looked bed, they panicked and deposed Rudd and replaced him with Julia Gillard, our first female PM. Amazingly despite the in fighting the ALP still managed to retain power, due partly to the Opposition guy is a dick and the ALP were better negotiators and managed to get some independents on their side. This year it looks like their in fighting will demolish them. This latest episode Alkaloid talks about is rumours that Rudd might come back and challenge for the leadership of the ALP and by default become the PM. He did it before and failed. Apparently Simon Crean leaked it out that Rudd was going to challenge, but it turns out Rudd didn't want to, so the leadership challenge had Gillard vs..... no body. So she was relected unopposed.

I am going to laugh if the ALP still wins despite their civil war.

Dude Federal Labor is totally fucked and you'd really think that they'd just start a new party. They got in because everyone was sad they got dumped by Lazarus Howard, and they've really poorly managed everything since then. They've done good things, but nobody cares because they look like a bunch of complete idiots every time they do this.

So y'know, we get to be governed by fucking Tony Abbott. Yay? Thanks, cretins.

The possibility that this was Crean doing it on behalf of Gillard to out Rudd supporters and lock down her status is looking less and less likely.

Which would have really been the only good outcome - at least then you could hope it was part of a larger plan.

Look forward to Combet v Shorten after September while Abbot and co. fucking trash the joint.
