Big deal. I believe it's the French term for Korea. Koreans refer to their country as "Hanguk" in their own language. You brink up the World Cup so surely you must of heard the Koreans chanting "Dae han min guk!" As far as Iraq as concerned, the name is just a transliteration of an Arabic name, so different spellings exist...just witness: "Quran" "Koran" "Q'uran" etc...
