Iraqi museum update

According to the museum staff the first batch of looters, were professionals, avoiding some of the duplicates on display and taking only the most expensive and rare pieces. Its believed that they were likely stealing to order for private collectors.

That is what truly blows.

I knew some people would take advantage of the looting to make themselves and their bosses rich.

As for the library, it seems that it's starting to get out of control. It should be stopped by troops trying to stop them, instead of them running out of things to look.

You see, in Afghanistan, we didn't have such an epidemic, as there was nothing worth looting.

I hate to say it, but there is a better chance of recovering these things if pro's are ripping them off for buyers, than a bunch of pissed off folks that would have just smashed them.
