The protests are aimed at the G8 summit. Anti-globalization and all that.

I really think we need to start holding all economic summits in Russia or the PRC. I hope the cops gun down a couple of the fucking looters.

Anti-globalizationists: Joe Six-Pack union types, Pat Buchanan right wing nuts, and clueless neohippies. An unlikely alliance of those who don't understand economics with those who don't understand economics at all. (Cookie if you know where the last line came from)

I'm studying for the CPA exam. Have a nice summer, and if you're down just sit back and realize that Joe is off somewhere, doing much worse than you are.

From what I've heard, they aren't as bad as the media is making it out to be.

I think they should hold the meetings in private, without the public knowing. The only thing we get out of letting people know is knowing that evolution has left a few people behind.Sea Skimmer wrote:I really think we need to start holding all economic summits in Russia or the PRC. And, I saw a picture of the protest in the newspaper, and it seemed that they didn't know what they were protesting. Only about half of them were protesting globalization, the rest were against the war in Iraq and Isreal.
Now, will there be apologists for the looting and violence? I mean, it's the closest thing Switzerland has had to war in over a century.

I'd like to organise a pro-globalisation protest to meet those guys.
