Anarchy's appeal comes from the fact that most of mankind's horrible atrocities were carried out by government or the agents of government. Anarchists seem blind to the fact that the rest of mankind's horrible atrocities were only possible because government wasn't around to stop them.

Any city gets what it admires, will pay for, and, ultimately, deserves…We want and deserve tin-can architecture in a tinhorn culture. And we will probably be judged not by the monuments we build but by those we have destroyed.--Ada Louise Huxtable, "Farewell to Penn Station", New York Times editorial, 30 October 1963

Salm, that fantasy playground, like Monaco, exsists because no on wants what they have, bad enough to mess with it's protector. The government.(even Monaco has it's own police and fire dept.Military is taken care of by powerful rich outside forces.)
They effectivley HAVE a police, fire and military, even if it is not "their own." THAT'S why they are still around.(Yes, yes you are a sepatate country, of coarse you are my dear)

This place is just as REAL a country as "Boondockia," just outside Frostbite Falls, Minnisota. (Rocky and Bullwinkle)
It is like declairing your city, (Berkely for example) a new country. I bet these guys pay taxes, and bow to the rule of law, enforced at the point of a gun.
So much for the ILLUSION of anarchy being a working system.
Hmmmmmm.

Actually, there are political extremist groups who live in isolated communities which they do not want to be part of the state (they take this very far - for example, they don't use money but trade with each other by means of bartering in order to be independent of state bank services) and neither do these people pay taxes or even have license plates on their cars - but they do obey the law to some extent. (although they rarely answer to any authorities more influental than the local counties)

The most infamous of these groups are the Posse Comitatus, but there are others IIRC.
