Anyways, this is definitely bad news for Bush. It sounds like he's been given bad advice from the intelligence community on the scope of the Iraqi weapons programs, and agencies under the direction of the executive branch have been slow to provide documents requested from the commission established to investigate the Sept 11th attacks. Whatever the excuse, this definitely reflects poorly on Bush's administration, and could seriously hinder his re-election efforts. I think in the upcoming elections, this will be a big issue and it will get nasty. I don't know if the Democrats have a candidate who can really capatilize on the issue, but it is a serious weakness in the argument for Bush's reelection. If they don't find WOMD's in Iraq, things could still get very dicey for Bush.

IMHO, there is no "if they don't find WOMDs in Iraq." They won't find them. Bush knew that from the beginning. The invasion of Iraq was nothing but a grand-drawn out assassination attempt, which we aren't even sure was successful. Now they are trying to steer the emphasis toward the "liberation" of Iraq. Liberation my heinie! They are now attacking our soldiers, guerilla style. Give me a break and get our soldiers out of there.
