Saddam Sons Betrayed by Cousins for 20m!

Post by MKSheppard »

Saddam sons are betrayed for £20m by his cousin

http://www.theherald.co.uk/news/archive ... 29-20.html

SADDAM Hussein's cousin who gave the deposed Iraqi leader's sons sanctuary later betrayed them to US troops for the £20m reward.

Nawaf al Zeidane Muhhamad was in US protective custody last night, unable ever to return to his home in Mosul.

Uday and Qusay Hussein had been hiding out at his mansion, where they died after US troops surrounded the building and a six-hour gun battle followed.

Some in Iraq remained sceptical about their deaths, but Washington said it would release graphic photos of the bullet-ridden corpses to convince them. Donald Rumsfeld, defence secretary, said the photos would be released "soon".

Muhhamad, as well as being a cousin of Saddam, is a tribal leader in the region. But he is unlikely to go back.

Waad Hamadi, 43, a neighbour, said: "We would not have told the Americans. Many people say Muhhamad is the one, but there is no way he can come back here now. He is a traitor." Neighbours said they became suspicious when his wife and four daughters left the house at 6.30am on Tuesday and never returned. ---

So, Saddam's sons are dead, and their cousin tipped troops off. I'm sure the Iraqi information minister is going to go and say that he saw them last night and that they're in great shape.

Yeah, this is shocking since Uday & Qusay were sooooooooo popular.

You know, if I had cousins that were mass murdering psychopaths I think I'd turn them in. The thirty million dollars would just be a nice bonus.

That is true except I think they like Saddam and his progeny much, much less. Only the fanatic faithful will really care. No doubt he will have to leave but hey, 30 million goes a long way.

Back in the day Uday and Qusay could and would have killed this guy for just looking at them funny. At least he's getting 20 mil.

You mean, there is a sane member of that family?

More then likely, he realised the regime is not coming back and decided to cut his losses.

I mean, imagine if he hadn't turned them in, and the States had found them in a raid/sweep? The cousin would be so screwed.

So, take the $20 - $30 million, kiss your cousins good-bye (he probably hoped they'd be arrested), and start looking at property in Australia or Florida or somewhere

Unless you're in a country where said two people you ratted out were considered the Spawn of Satan and he's probably considered by many a hero for insuring their demise.

That and if he can't go back...he might consider it a boon.

Heck, he could move to mexico and live like Donald trump.

Have to wonder if he has any other cash assits, possible out of country, in addition to the bounty money.

Maybe not Mexico, but perhaps some good spot near the Middle East, it all depends on what he likes. Just imagine how much money he'd get it he tipped off forces the wereabouts of the rest of the wanted Iraqi officials.

$25 million, IIRC. But I think we'll need to raise it if we want to better motivate some people in the Middle East to help find him.

Nitpick: The reward is actually 20 million POUNDS STERLING. That's about 32.3 million US dollars.
