You see, that's why I think you are one of those people that think we deserved it. You keep insisting "It was done for a reason." The only reason they needed was we are superior to their barbarian vision of paradise. That we are a prosperour free nation while everyone one of their Islamic States is a festering shit hole.Terrorism *is* done for a reason. Terrorists are not doing things like that just for the fun of it.
You keep saying it like that reason matter when they murdered three thousand people.
No, you didn't. But when that's wrapped around a pile of "they did it for a reason" it's hard to believe you mean it.And in no way did I say that the USA deserved it.
Spetember 11th is fine with me. But reducing it to Nine-eleven seems both callous and disrespectful. You might not understand but then again judging from your behaviour I don't expect you to.How do you want to call it? "The Death of Three Thousand People without a Reason that happened to happen on the 11th of September"?
You"re overdoing that reverence thing a bit too much...
No, I just keep seeing "they did it for reason" and that makes is harder than hell to believe that you don't think it.I didn't say "you asked for it". That is all in your mind. But if you want to believe that, I can't help it.

I am also sick unto death of reducing it to "911".Stormbringer wrote:Spetember 11th is fine with me. But reducing it to Nine-eleven seems both callous and disrespectful. You might not understand but then again judging from your behaviour I don't expect you to.
But when the media in this country is the most guilty party for promulgating the trivialisation, and any yahoo being interviewed on camera repeats it, apparently proving that it is how the public here thinks of the event, can you really be so hard on someone for doing the same on a BBS? Abreviations and acronyms are rife here.
Life is all the eternity you get, use it wisely.
It always has been and always will be "September 11th" to me.
Howedar is no longer here. Need to talk to him? Talk to Pick.
Hmm, I think you did something wrong there Stormbringer, your comment should be in this thread

I find it as distasteful here as in real life. Typing out September 11th isn't so hard. I've done it several times now and I think showing a little respect for the tragedy is entirely appropriate.Frank Hipper wrote:I am also sick unto death of reducing it to "911".
