While I don't mind the howling coyote logo I do think that it isn't as cool as the "robo dog" logo they used to have, and certainly the new uniforms are u-g-l-y. Check them out Did Gretsky steal those from Team Canada or get a deal on stockpilled surplus uniforms from the Big Red Machine (U.S.S.R.)?
The unifroms are a burnt rusty red or brownish red, kind of like the main color of the coyote in the above picture. I liked the old uniforms, both home and away, a lot better. They were more colorful and had a "southwestern" look to them.
The "robodog" is kind of cool in a southwestern stylized kachina sort of way. The new logo fits in better with professional sports logos in North America though.
There was another version with a full hockey player.
Not that I really care since I don't watch hockey anyway.
By the way, while I can see why they do it I still found it a bit tacky that the Coyotes Fan Club shop sells Winnipeg Jets merchandise. I know they used to be the Jets but do fans of the Jets want to help support the move to Phoenix by giving them money for Jets merchandise?
