You can stack the leadership, but the rank and file are beyond the capcity of fixing. I said 'politically reliable'- e.g. units with leadership that are palatable to whoever was in charge (be that the DoD or whoever), and/or units with high morale overall. It's no secret that morale in various units in Iraq has been getting quite low. You want happy, content soldiers for your photo-op, not unhappy ones.Knife wrote:

Granted. But in the type of news coverage given to the event, such stacking would be useless. It was the rank in file that was shown at the Thanksgiving dinner.
